Regional police are investigating a hit-and-run that took place in Bedford on Tuesday.

At roughly 8:17 a.m., an 11-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle while crossing a marked crosswalk at the roundabout for Larry Uteck Blvd and Broad Street.

Police said the driver of the vehicle briefly stopped and then fled the area, heading outbound on Larry Uteck. The boy was not injured.

According to HRP, the vehicle is believed to be a newer model, grey, four door, Toyota Corolla sedan.
