With summer-like temperatures on the way to Halifax Regional Municipality, one organization released its top 100 patio favourites in Canada, and three are in the region.

According to data shared by OpenTable, just under three-quarters of Canadians plan to dine outdoors at least once a month or more at a restaurant during the summertime. With the perfect long weekend temperatures expected, OpenTable revealed its top 100 restaurants for outdoor dining.

In no particular order, two eateries are in Halifax and another in Dartmouth.

Drift, along the waterfront, is described by OpenTable as a restaurant rooted in time and place. Its menu and vibe pay homage to the land and people of the east coast.

“Guided by thoughtful craft and genuine hospitality, our dishes balance comfort and discovery, offering familiar flavours elevated with intention,” the description reads.

Just a stone’s throw away, Salt & Ash brings a warm and inviting atmosphere to its patio in the summer. According to OpenTable, it is the place where friends come together over a crackling fire and good eats.

“Salt & Ash represents a new wave of Nova Scotia dining. With a focus on live-fire cooking, its approachable menu of unique shared snacks, wood-fired pizzas, hearty meat and seafood,” it notes.

In Dartmouth, a decades-old family-owned restaurant made the list. Mic Mac Bar & Grill first started in 1963 and has grown into a “local watering hole.”

“The Mic Mac Beverage Room has become famous for its delicious home-cooked meals, especially its steaks, and provides excellent dining in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere,” OpenTable said.
