The farmer from Lakeville, N.S., credits his robust irrigation system for helping him get through severe drought conditions that gripped the region. “We made the right decision years ago that we needed to invest in new pumps and dig more ponds, and just increase our ability to water our crops,” said Keddy, owner of Charles Keddy Farms and vice-president of Horticulture Nova Scotia.
