According to a press release, RCMP officers from the Halifax detachment responded July 10 at around 3:15 p.m. The two bodies were in a 10-foot inflatable boat. Police believe it was a life boat from a larger vessel named Theros. Officials believe the two people are a 70-year-old man and 60-year-old woman from British Columbia. The pair were reported missing to the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre on June 18 after leaving Halifax Harbour on June 11 heading to Azores, a small island off the coast of Portugal. The Nova Scotia coroner is working to confirm their identities. The island the pair were found on is known for its wild horses. As one of the most remote parks in Canada, the island is only open to people for day trips. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Devastating flash flooding in Nova Scotia: Photos next post Child pulled into water-filled ditch dies after flash floods in Wolfville You may also like CITYnews halifax: Solar power saves the environment —... 15 يونيو، 2026 CITYnews halifax: Province says new funds available for... 15 يونيو، 2026 راديو كندا الدولي : كارني يقول إنّ ’’خيوط‘‘... 14 يونيو، 2026 راديو كندا الدولي : كندا تتعهد بتقديم 100... 13 يونيو، 2026 RCI : La Garde nationale américaine suspend un... 13 يونيو، 2026 RCI : Cyle Larin’s late goal nets Canada... 13 يونيو، 2026 CITYnews halifax : Police release impaired driving stats,... 13 يونيو، 2026 CITYnews halifax : New funding helps trail accessibility... 13 يونيو، 2026 CITYnews halifax: Halifax shipyard workers lay backbone for... 13 يونيو، 2026 CITYnews halifax: Canada, Ireland agree to work together... 13 يونيو، 2026
