SailGP released its 2025 schedule on Tuesday and it did not include any competitions in Canada. Hopes were high after a successful race in Halifax in June. “SailGP’s Season 5 announcement is disappointing for all of us, especially given that our first Canadian event was a stand out, record-breaking success with over 50,000 spectators in attendance,” read a statement from Canada’s SailGP team. “Sail Nova Scotia is already in discussions with SailGP to confirm an event in 2026, and we’re optimistic that we will be back in Canada in Season 6.” According to Sail Nova Scotia an economic impact study into the recent event in Halifax is underway, but it says on average the races in Season 4 contributed around US $19 million to regional economies. “The ROCKWOOL Canada Sail Grand Prix was the culmination of over two years of work for a large team and it resulted in a huge success for our city, province and country. We are looking ahead to 2026, with the confidence that we can make the event even bigger and better,” said Frank Denis, Executive Director of Sail Nova Scotia. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post More charges laid in 2022 murder of Digby County man next post Climate change made June heat wave in N.S. ‘more likely’ You may also like ترودو يندد بالعدد ’’الكثيف جداً‘‘ من القتلى المدنيين... 6 أكتوبر، 2024 Canadian musician Jacob Hoggard found not guilty of... 2024 Halifax police charge 4 people after seizing handgun,... 5 أكتوبر، 2024 Vehicle belonging to woman last seen in South... 5 أكتوبر، 2024 Shubie Park will see residents in RVs return... 5 أكتوبر، 2024 Nova Scotia reveals $25-million deal with Airbus to... 5 أكتوبر، 2024 Premier holds firm on feds responsibility for Chignecto... 5 أكتوبر، 2024 Price of gas sees a slight drop; diesel... 5 أكتوبر، 2024
