Regional police have charged a man in connection to cashing fraudulent cheques earlier this week.

On March 5, police were called to the TD Bank on Portland Street in Dartmouth for a fraud in progress.

Police say officers arrested a suspect at the scene without incident and during their investigation, they found out the man was involved in a number of other incidents that day at other TD Bank locations.

According to HRP, one of those incidents saw him obtain $32,000.

Nazar Mohmed Zakati, 37, was scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court to face a number of fraud related charges.
