CITYnews halifax / By Dan Ahlstrand

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the entirety of Nova Scotia as snow is possible for the province.

The national forecaster said snow may mix with ice pellets in some areas before changing over to rain later today. The precipitation will taper off overnight. Accumulations will be mainly confined to higher terrain areas such as the Cobequid Pass, Mt. Thom and Cape Breton Highlands.

Environment Canada said a second snowfall is anticipated for Wednesday for most of the province, and accumulations in some areas may be significant enough to cause hazardous travel conditions.
