العشرين اندبندنت عربية \ إبراهيم العريس باحث وكاتب حدث ذلك كما يروي غابريال غارسيا ماركيز في ربيع عام 1957. كان هو في منتصف عشرينياته ولم ينشر بعد سوى رواية واحدة لم يسمع بها أحد، لكنه نشر عدداً كبيراً من المقالات الصحافية، لا سيما خلال إقامته في باريس، أما معلمه الكبير، الثاني على أي حال في عالم الرواية، إرنست همنغواي فكان يدنو حثيثاً من عامه التاسع والخمسين، وما كان أحد ليصدق أنه سوف يموت انتحاراً بعد ذلك بسنوات قليلة من ذلك “اللقاء”، بينهما الذي يخبرنا ماركيز أنه لم يتم بالمعني الحقيقي للكلمة سوى تلك الثواني التي استغرقها عبورهما معاً، وكل على رصيف في اتجاه معاكس لاتجاه الآخر في جادة سان ميشال الباريسية بالقرب من الساحة المؤدية إلى المبنى الرئيس لجامعة السوربون. رجل واثق من نفسه حينها كان همنغواي وزوجته الأخيرة يعبران الجادة متجهين ناحية حديقة اللوكسمبورغ عند الرصيف المحاذي لساحة السوربون، أما ماركيز الذي كان أصلاً مقيماً في فندق بائس في تلك المنطقة فكان في طريقه متجهاً ناحية نهر السين على الرصيف المقابل. بنظرة واحدة كما يقول ماركيز أدرك أن ذلك الرجل ذا النظارة الطبية والمشية المستقيمة الواثق من نفسه لا يمكنه أن يكون سوى ثاني كتابه الأميركيين المفضلين “ولم أتردد وقد رصدته يمشي الهوينا بين جمهرة طلاب من الواضح أنهم لم يتعرفوا عليه متفرجاً بدهشة وبفضول كبيرين على كل من يمر به، لم أتردد بل وقفت في مكاني واضعاً كلاً من كفيّ على ناحية من فمي صارخاً بكل ما لدي من قوة وعزم: “مايسترووووو” وبما يشبه المعجزة التفت همنغواي ناحيتي من رصيف إلى رصيف وقد أدرك بالتأكيد أن ليس في تلك الجادة الباريسية حينها أي مايسترو غيره. وما إن رآني ويبدو أنه أدرك من ملامحي ولهجتي أنني لاتيني، حتى صرخ من بعيد بدوره: “آديوس آميغو”، وابتسم متابعاً طريقه. تردد أفشل اللقاء “لحظتها، سيقول ماركيز، وجدت نفسي كالعادة موزعاً بين تصرفين يمكن أن أقدم عليهما. فإما أن أعبر الشارع وأقدم له نفسي بصفتي صحافياً وأطلب منه حواراً، وإما أن أكتفي بالدنو منه لمجرد أن أعبر له عن إعجابي الكبير بكل كتبه التي قرأتها وربما قرأت بعضها مراراً وتكراراً. لكن ترددي لم يدم سوى ثوان استأنفت بعدها مساري، وقد أدركت أن ليس ثمة فائدة من الدنو منه وعبور الرصيف، فإنجليزيتي كانت كما ستبقى دائماً أضعف كثيراً من أن تسمح لي بإجراء أي حوار معه، ولم أكن واثقاً أنه يتكلم الإسبانية”. ثم إن مواصلة همنغواي السريعة لطريقه أفهمت الشاب المبتدئ الذي كان هو ماركيز أنه غير مهتم بأي لقاء مع أحد. وهكذا تابع الأرجنتيني الشاب طريقه إنما مع قدر من السحر غمره من رأسه إلى قدميه. غابريال غارسيا ماركيز (غيتي) ..وكاسترو قارئ نهم فهمنغواي كان بالنسبة إلى ماركيز معلمه الكبير في كتابة الرواية ويأتي لديه تالياً لمعلمين كبيرين آخرين له: ويليام فوكنر و”ألف ليلة وليلة”. وسيقول ماركيز لاحقاً مبتسماً أن لقاءه بهنغواي لن يتجدد أبداً، أما بالنسبة إلى فوكنر فإن “الصورة الوحيدة” التي يحتفظ بها عنه هي صورته كمزارع من الجنوب الأميركي التي التقطها له الفرنسي كارتييه – بريسون. مهما يكن من أمر فإن ذلك اللقاء العابر بهمنغواي سيبقى له مفعول سحري حتى نهاية حياته، هو الذي لن يتوقف يوماً في تلك الحياة عن تكرار حكاية ذلك اللقاء… ولكن ليختتم الحكاية في معظم الأحيان بملحق طريف لها: “لسنوات قليلة خلت ركبت إلى جانب فيديل كاسترو في سيارته، وفيديل كاسترو، للمناسبة قارئ نهم للأعمال الأدبية خصوصاً، ومن فوري لمحت على مقعد السيارة إلى جانبه كتاباً صغيراً مجلداً بغلاف جلدي أحمر أنيق. وقبل أن أحمل الكتاب لأرى ما هو على عادة ما يفعل كل مهتم بالأدب، قال لي فيديل: إنه كتاب من تأليف معلمي إرنست همنغواي” طبعاً لم يدهش الأمر ماركيز لكنه جعله يتذكر كما يحدث له دائماً ذلك اليوم الربيعي البعيد في باريس ويقول معلقاً: في الحقيقة يظل همنغواي، ولو بعد عشرين سنة من موته، ماثلاً هناك في المكان الذي لن تتوقع أن يكون فيه أبداً، ثابت الحضور ولو بشكل عابر كما عند تلك الصبيحة من مايو (أيار) عبر الرصيف في جادة سان ميشال حين التفت إلى شاب أرجنتيني لا يعرفه ولن يعرفه أبداً، وقال له بصوته الحاد الأنيق: آديوس آميغو!”. …والبحث متواصل ولأن ماركيز ظل طوال حياته مؤمناً بأن همنغواي سيظهر له ذات لحظة من حيث لا يمكنه أن يتوقع، سيروي أنه في كل مرة يكون فيها في باريس، لا يتردد في التوجه إلى جادة سان ميشال وتحديداً إلى نقطة اللقاء القديم، فربما يعبر في المكان صديقه القديم هذا. بل يروي أكثر من ذلك أنه كثيراً ما يحدث له أن يجلس في مقهى كان همنغواي يرتاده في ساحة الأوديون غير بعيد عن نقطة اللقاء. وهو مقهى يحكي همنغواي في نصوصه أنه غالباً ما كان يجلس فيه ليكتب وسط هدوء طاغ ونظافة لا مثيل لها. و”هناك في ذلك المقهى وربما إلى نفس الطاولة التي كان همنغواي يجلس إليها، كنت أجلس ساعات وساعات محدقاً بالباب، ليس طبعاً بأمل أن يدخل همنغواي ذات لحظة فأجدد لقائي به، ولكن بأمل أن ينشق الباب وتدخل منه تلك الفتاة التي يروي همنغواي في فصل واحد من كتبه كيف دخلت بشكل مباغت وسحرته”. فالحقيقة أن ما من أحد أخبر ماركيز حتى ذلك الحين بأن الفتاة لم تعد في هذا العالم. ولذا إن لم يكن من حقه أن يتوقع دخول المعلم، سيكون من المنطقي له أن يتوقع دخول الفتاة. وهنا حين يقول أحد لماركيز: كيف ستعرفها وثمة عشرات الفتيات الفرنسيات يدخلن مثل تلك المقاهي في كل ساعة؟ يجيب مبتسماً: “سأعرفها من وصف همنغواي لها. فهو من دقة الوصف وجماله بحيث لا يمكن أن يكون ثمة سوى فتاة واحدة يمكن أن يعنيها همنغواي في ذلك الوصف…”. مكتبة شكسبير الباريسية وإلى هذا، وإذ يتحدث ماركيز عن باريس همنغواي على هذه الشاكلة، لا يمكنه أن ينسى أنه في كل مرة يعبر فيها العنوان المعروف بـ”12 شارع الأوديون” وهو طبعاً عنوان المكتبة الشهيرة “شكسبير وشركاه” التي أسستها وكانت تديرها سيلفيا بيتش في ذلك الزمن “والتي لم تعد طبعاً كما اعتادت أن تكون”، “أنظر صوب المكتبة لعلي أرى إرنست همنغواي يتحدث مع سيلفيا عن آخر الكتب والإصدارات، ثم إذ أعجز عن مشاهدة همنغواي أو سيلفيا أنتظر بعض الوقت الإضافي لعل جيمس جويس يمر بالمكان عند الساعة السادسة كما كان قد اعتاد أن يفعل حين يكون في باريس، لكنه لا يفعل”. ومن المؤكد أنه لا يفعل ولن يفعل لسبب بسيط وهو أن كل تلك الحياة الباريسية التي عاشها ماركيز بالواسطة كانت قد انقضت منذ زمن بعيد ولم يبق منها سوى الذكريات، تماماً كحال تلك الذكريات التي عايشها ماركيز نفسه في هافانا حيث كان يحدث له مراراً أن يمضي وقتاً طويلاً في شقة همنغواي التي حولت إلى متحف، أو يزور قرية كوجيمار القريبة من العاصمة هافانا في كوبا حيث موضع همنغواي أحداث روايته الكبرى “العجوز والبحر”… وهناك كان يتوقع أن يلتقي بالعجوز سانتياغو طالما ليس في مقدوره الالتقاء بهمنغواي نفسه. فهذا الأخير مات طبعاً لكن لا أحد يمكنه أن
