ثقافة و فنونعربي فيوليت كوبرسميث تكتب رواية فيتنام لتطرد أشباح حربها by admin 24 يوليو، 2021 written by admin 24 يوليو، 2021 1.3K “ابنِ بيتك حول جسدي” متاهة من الرعب والسخرية والتخييل التاريخي اندبندنت عربية \ سناء عبد العزيز بعد سبعة أعوام على صدور مجموعتها القصصية المسكونة بالأشباح “فندق فرانجيباني”THE “FRANGIPANI HOTEL ، تعود الكاتبة فيوليت كوبرسميث لترسيخ عالمها الغرائبي بشخوصه الممسوسة وأشباحه الرغبة في الانتقام، في حكاية مترامية الأطراف تجمع بين قرن من تاريخ فيتنام وتراثها الشعبي. على غلاف روايتها الجديدة وهي الأولى لها بعد مجموعاتها القصصية “ابنِ بيتك حول جسدي” Build Your House Around My Body”، الصادرة عن دار راندوم للنشر 2021، تظهر الكوبرا ذات الرأسين، وتطل عبر صفحاتها البالغ عددها 400 صفحة، برأسيها المجدولين مما هو واقعي وما هو خارق للطبيعة، في قصتها عن امرأتين تفصل بينهما عقود، اختفتا في ظروفٍ غامضة. تستهل كوبرسميث ملحمتها الملغزة بقائمة للشخصيات وخرائط عدة؛ كدليل للقارئ يحميه من الضياع في تلك المتاهة المتشعبة التي غزلتها بحرفية من طبقات متعددة لخلق مشهد غني ورائع، يعتمد على تقنيات متنوعة من الرعب والفكاهة والخيال التاريخي. تبدأ الحكاية في عام 2011، باختفاء شابة فيتنامية أميركية تدعى “ويني” من منزلها في سايغون، بعد عام من وصولها فيتنام، من دون أن تترك أثراً! رواية “ابن بيتك حول جسدي” (أمازون) تحمل ويني الكثير من القواسم المشتركة مع الكاتبة نفسها؛ كلتاهما فيتناميتان أميركيتان من أصول عرقية مختلطة، انتقلتا إلى فيتنام في أوائل العشرينيات من عمرهما. ولدت كوبرسميث في وسط ولاية بنسلفانيا عام 1989 وانتقلت مع عائلتها إلى ضواحي فيلادلفيا. والدها أميركي أبيض وأمها من دا نانغ في فيتنام. فرت عائلة والدتها من البلاد بالقوارب بعد سقوط سايغون عام 1975، وأعيد توطينهم في بورت آرثر، تكساس. كل ما تحتاج معرفته من تاريخك ويني محض توسيع لإحدى الشخصيات في قصة ضمن مجموعتها القصصية الصادرة عام 2014؛ طالبة من تكساس تستفسر من جدتها الفيتنامية عن رحلة قاموا بها في عام 1975 من سايغون. وبدلاً من الإجابة المباشرة، تروي الجدة عن مواجهة مرعبة في منتصف المحيط الأطلسي مع جثة دبت فيها الحياة، ترفع كفيها المتعفنتين بالدعاء قبل أن تختفي! تقول الجدة: “في ذلك اليوم كتبت الأرواح أسماءنا في كتابها. وكنا نعرف أنهم سيعودون في نهاية المطاف لحصادها”. تشكو الفتاة من أن هذه ليست قصة عن فيتنام. فترد الجدة: “إذا أصغيتِ لما قلته، فقد عرفت كل ما تحتاجين معرفته عن تاريخك”. يعود الزمن للوراء، في عام 1986، حيث تضل ابنة في سن المراهقة لعائلة فيتنامية ثرية في مزرعة مطاط مهجورة أثناء فرارها من والدها الغاضب، وتتغير كلية. يتماس مصيرا هاتين المرأتين على نحو لا مفر منه، في الوقت نفسه يتماس مع الأجيال السابقة، والأشباح والأجساد الممسوسة والأراضي المستحوذ عليها، حتى تتعاشق الحكايات والقرائن والشخصيات بطريقة مدهشة، مع ظهور الروابط تباعاً بظهور شخصيات كثيرة إلى جانب المرأتين. ومنها صبي صغير يتم إرساله إلى مدرسة داخلية لأبناء الملونين من المغتربين الفرنسيين، قبل إعلان فيتنام استقلالها عن الحكم الاستعماري، ورجلان فرنسيان يحاولان بدء عمل تجاري بينما تلوح حرب فيتنام في الأفق. مشهد من حرب فيتنام (أ ف ب) تغوص الرواية في تاريخ فيتنام قبل الاستعمار وبعده، مع تلك الشخصيات الفرنسية لمعرفة الطرق التي تخلق بها الحرب نوعاً آخر من الرعب. وفي قصة الاختفاء تنعطف إلى موظفي شركة سايغون لمطاردة الأشباح، الذين تم استدعاؤهم للتحقيق في بعض الأحداث “المخيفة” في مزرعة في شمال فيتنام، فيجدون أنفسهم يستكشفون أحداثاً في تلك المزرعة الواقعة على طرف غابة. تفاقم معاناة الشخصية كل شخصية جديدة ويوم جديد يقرباننا خطوة من فهم اللغز الذي يضم الجميع في حلقة تتسع، لتوضح لنا ما الذي قاد ويني إلى العودة إلى سايغون، مدة عملها كمدرسة للغة الإنجليزية، وكيف وصلت إلى فيتنام لوحة بيضاء: “جلبت معها جواز سفرها، وطاقمين من الملابس النظيفة وجسدها. أما الباقي فستحصل عليه”. إنها تأمل في أن تحوز في هذا البلد ما لا يقل عن نفسٍ جديدة، نفس أفضل! كتبت كوبرسميث: “لتغليف ويني القديمة تماماً في شبكة جذورها شبه القفصية تركها تذبل في الداخل”، وبدلاً من ذلك، فإنها تضعف. تهمل تعليمها، ولا تكون لها صداقات، وتشرب كثيراً، وتصطدم بعلاقة جنسية رهيبة مع ضابط شرطة مخمور تلتقي به في الحمام في حانة كاريوكي. في النهاية، تبحث عن ملاذ مع لونغ، زميلها في الإنجاز، من خلال علاقة ليست مبنية على المشاعر أو حتى على التواصل، بل على تبادل المنفعة، وهو ما أفضى إلى تفاقم معاناة الشخصية. يعتني لونج بـويني، التي هي في أمس الحاجة إلى العناية بها. في المقابل، تصبح ويني “الفم”، الذي يمنح لونغ المتعة الجنسية. لكن الرواية تفتتح بعودته إلى المنزل كما هي عادته، ليجد ويني في عداد المفقودين. يشكل اختفاء الشابة التعسة جذع الرواية، الذي تتفرع منه بقية الأحداث والشخصيات، لتمتد من سايغون إلى المرتفعات، ومن القصور الاستعمارية إلى حدائق الحيوانات المتداعية، ومن النوادي الليلية إلى مقاعد الدراجات النارية المندفعة، ومن الشقق القديمة إلى عربات الشوارع في الأزقة الخلفية، ومن الاحتلال الاستعماري الفرنسي إلى الاقتصاد السياحي الحالي. استطاعت كوبرسميث، إضافة إلى تشبيك مصائر شخصياتها، بث الحياة في البيئة المحيطة ببراعة شديدة وثقة تحسد عليها، فنستشعر الحرارة الشديدة والرطوبة اللتين يعاني منهما الجميع، ونتنفس ألوان الحياة في أي مكان توجد فيه شخصياتها، سواء كانت مقبرة أو غابة أو حماماً قذراً. وفي تلك الرواية الحافلة بالأحداث الخارقة، يمكن للعراف أن يفتح فكيه على وسعيهما بما يكفي لينقلب رأساً على عقب، وتتجول عينا المرأة الصفراوان خارج جسدها، وتسكن الأرواح أجساداً أخرى. كما يشرح الوعي البشري الذي يحتل جسد كلب ضال: “فكر في الأمر بهذه الطريقة: جسدك دراجة نارية. أنت تقودها. أنا، في جسم كلبي الصغير، أشبه بشخص يركب دراجة. ولكن بوسعنا -نحن الاثنان- تبادل المركبات إذا أردنا ذلك”. لعنة الأعمال غير المكتملة في حوار معها، تحدثت كوبرسميث عن مدى الذاتية في روايتها: “لم أكن أنوي حقاً أن تكون هناك شخصية قريبة جداً مني تلعب الدور الأكبر في الحكاية. كان من المفترض أن تكون مساحة شخصية ويني أصغر بكثير، لكنها استمرت في النمو، على ما أعتقد، لترسيخ القصة كلما استمرت القصة نفسها في التعقيد أكثر فأكثر”. من خلال مشهد في مقبرة، تذكر فيه إحدى الشخصيات أن الأعمال غير المكتملة تترك دائماً ثغرات خطيرة، “ومن خلال تجربتي، ستعود دائماً لتطاردك… الاستعمار جزء من عمل غير مكتمل، حرب فيتنام جزء من الأعمال غير المكتملة. كنت أرغب في استكشاف مأساة التعرض للأذى بأي شكل من الأشكال وكيف يحتل ركناً صغيراً منك. إنه شبحك الصغير في المنزل المسكون بعقلك. وبالنسبة لي، ما كنت عليه!
