سكاي نيوز عربية – أبوظبي – أفادت السلطات الأميركية بأن المشتبه به في قتل 20 شخصا وإصابة 26 آخرين بسلاح ناري في مركز تجاري بولاية تكساس الأميركية، هو شاب أبيض عمره 21 عاما، من ضاحية ألين في تكساس.
ونقلت عدة تقارير إعلامية عن مسؤولين من وكالات إنفاذ القانون القول إن المشتبه به يدعى باتريك كروسياس.
وقال قائد شرطة إل باسو، جريج ألين، إن السلطات تفحص بيانا من المشتبه به يشير إلى أن “هناك رابطا محتملا بجريمة كراهية”.

وقالت السلطات إن المشتبه به استسلم للشرطة مع تضييق الضباط الخناق عليه. وأظهر تسجيل مصور اقتياد الشرطة له مكبل اليدين إلى سيارة تابعة لها.
ونشرت محطة (كيه.تي.إس.إم) التلفزيونية في إل باسو على موقعها الإلكتروني ما وصفته بصورتين للمشتبه به التقطتها الكاميرات الأمنية لدى دخوله متجر “وول مارت“.
وظهر في الصورتين شاب أبيض يضع نظارة على عينيه ويرتدي سروالا وقميصا داكنا ويشهر بندقية.
وذكرت (سي.إن.إن) أن مكتب التحقيقات الاتحادي (إف.بي.آي) فتح تحقيقا داخليا في الإرهاب فيما يتعلق بالحادث.
وقال الرئيس المكسيكي مانويل لوبيز أوبرادور إن 3 مكسيكيين من بين القتلى وستة ضمن المصابين.
وهذا ثامن أسوأ حادث إطلاق نار جماعي في التاريخ الأميركي الحديث، بعد واقعة عام 1984 في سان إيسدرو التي قتل فيها 21 شخصا.
وقال حاكم الولاية جريج أبوت للصحفيين “سنتعامل مع الحادث قضائيا على أنه قتل عمد وكذلك على أنه جريمة كراهية، وهو ما يبدو عليه الحال تماما”. وأضاف “لا أريد استباق الأدلة”.
