كان أمس أسوأ يوم لبورصات نيويورك منذ مطلع السنة الحالية، فبلغت نسبة التراجع عند الإغلاق لمؤشر “داو جونز” الصناعي 2,9% ولمؤشر “ستاندارد آند بورز 500” الذي يضم أسهم 500 من كبريات الشركات الأميركية 3% ولمؤشر “ناسداك” الإلكتروني 3,5%.
وهنا في كندا كانت بورصة تورونتو مقفلة أمس بمناسبة يوم العطلة المدنية (Civic Holiday) في بعض المقاطعات ومن بينها أونتاريو، لكنها أغلقت على تراجع اليوم، في أسوأ جلسة لها في ستة أسابيع. فأغلق مؤشرها الرئيسي على 16149,49 نقطة، متراجعاً 122,17 نقطة عن مستوى إغلاقه يوم الجمعة، علماً بأنه تراجع إلى 15994,28 نقطة خلال تداولات النهار.

لكن البورصات الأميركية أغلقت اليوم على ارتفاع، لكنه لم يعوّض في أفضل الأحوال نصف خسارة أمس.
فأغلق مؤشر “داو جونز” على 26029,52 نقطة، مرتفعاً 311,78 نقطة غداة تراجعه 767,27 نقطة، وأغلق مؤشر “ستاندارد آند بورز 500” على 2881,77 نقطة، مرتفعاً 37,03 نقطة غداة تراجعه 87,31 نقطة، وأغلق مؤشر “ناسداك” على 7833,26 نقطة، مرتفعاً 107.23 نقطة غداة تراجعه 278,03 نقطة.
يُذكر أن الاحتياطي الفدرالي الأميركي (المصرف المركزي) خفّض يوم الأربعاء الفائت معدل الفائدة الأساسي للمرة الأولى منذ عام 2008، وبربع نقطة مئوية، على خلفية انتقادات متواصلة من الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب الذي اتهمه بعدم تحفيز الاقتصاد الوطني بالقدر الكافي. وأغلقت الأسواق المالية الأميركية ذاك اليوم على تراجع.
وفي اليوم التالي، الخميس، ارتفعت الأسواق المالية، لكنها ما لبثت أن تراجعت بعد تعهّد الرئيس الأميركي بفرض رسوم إضافية نسبتها 10% على واردات من الصين بقيمة 300 مليار دولار ابتداءً من الأول من أيلول (سبتمبر) المقبل، في إجراء “لا يشمل 250 مليار دولار من البضائع (الصينية) التي فُرضت عليها رسوم بنسبة 25%” كما قال.

ويوم أمس قالت وزارة التجارة الصينية إن بكين أوقفت مشترياتها من المنتجات الزراعية الأميركية ولن تستبعد فرضَ رسومٍ على الواردات الزراعية الأميركية التي جرى شراؤها بعد 3 آب (أغسطس) الجاري، فكان التراجع الكبير في البورصات الأميركية وحول العالم.
كما انخفضت أمس قيمة العملة الصينية، الـ”يوان”، إلى أدنى مستوياتها في أكثر من عشر سنوات، ما دفع واشنطن لاتهام بكين بأنها “تتلاعب بالعُملة”.
