تقنية الواقع المعزز: نظارات ذكية للكلاب العسكرية

BBC / كشف الجيش الأمريكي عن تجربة تم فيها استخدام نظارات إلكترونية ذكية مع الكلاب المدربة للمشاركة في العمليات القتالية بحيث يصير من الممكن توجيه الأوامر للكلاب عن بعد.

وتشرف مختبرات الأبحاث التابعة للجيش الأمريكي على تجربة استخدام نظارات الواقع المعزز التي صممتها شركة تسمى “كامند سايت”.

وصُمِّمَت النظارات على نحو يسمح لمدربي الكلاب بتوجيهها، وإبعادها بشكل آمن عن مكامن الخطر.

ويمكن للكلاب التي يستخدمها الجيش أن تستكشف أي متفجرات ومخاطر أخرى، لكنها تحتاج إلى تعليمات حتى تقوم بعملها.

وعادة ما يوجه الجنود الكلاب باليد أو مؤشرات الليزر أثناء العمليات العسكرية وهو الأمر الذي يقتضي أن يكون الجنود قريبين من الكلاب.

لكن الجيش الأمريكي قال إن هذا الأمر قد يتغير في حال تم استخدام النموذج الأولي من النظارات الذكية على نطاق واسع.

وفي داخل النظارات، يمكن للكلاب أن تشاهد مؤشرا بصريا يمكن أن تتدرب على اتباعه، بحيث يتم توجيهها إلى مكان محدد.

ويمكن لمدرب الكلاب، في الوقت ذاته، أن يرى ما يراه الكلب من خلال بث للفيديو عن بعد.

وقال الدكتور ستيفن لي، كبير العلماء في مختبرات الأبحاث التابعة للجيش الأمريكي “الواقع المعزز يتم استخدامه لتزويد الكلاب بالأوامر والإشارات؛ الأمر غير متروك للكلب حتى يتفاعل مثلما هو الشأن بالنسبة إلى الإنسان”.

وشرح قائلا إن الواقع المُعَزز يعمل بطريقة مختلفة بالنسبة إلى الكلاب مقارنة بعمل الإنسان، مضيفا أن ” القائمين على مجموعة الكلاب العاملة في الجيش يشعرون بالحماسة الشديدة للإمكانيات التي تنطوي عليها هذه التكنولوجيا”.

وكل وحدة من النظارات صالحة خصيصا لكلب معين، مع وجود مؤشر مرئي يسمح بتوجيه الكلب إلى مكان ما والتجاوب مع المؤشر البصري في النظارات.

والنظارات الذكية ليست جديدة، إذ اعتادت الكلاب العسكرية على وجودها من باب الحماية في الظروف السيئة أو خلال عمليات الإنزال الجوي من الطائرات، لكن نظام الواقع المعزز يعتبر تطورا جديدا.

قال أ جي بيبر، مؤسس نظام التوجيه بالأوامر عند مشاهدة الهدف إن المشروع لا يزال في “المراحل الأولى من البحث”، لكن النتائج الأولية “واعدة جدا”.

وأجريت الكثير من الأبحاث أجريت بالاستعانة بكلبه مايتر الذي ينتمي إلى فصيلة “رودفايلر”.

وقال جاستين برونك، وهو زميل باحث في معهد الخدمات الملكية المتحدة، وهو مركز أبحاث متخصص في الدراسات الدفاعية، للبي بي سي بالرغم من أن الفكرة تبدو وكأنها ” باهظة التكلفة ” فإنها تظل مفيدة.

وأضاف قائلا “تنطوي القدرة على توجيه الكلاب باستخدام مؤشرات بصرية من خلال النظارات المعنية بالواقع المعزز بدون الحاجة إلى البقاء الجسدي بالقرب من الكلب على مزايا تكتيكية متعددة”.
