CANADAكندا عربي مُحامون يطالبون بتمديد تأشيرات الطلبة في كندا في ظلّ أزمة كوفيد 19 by admin 3 أبريل، 2020 written by admin 3 أبريل، 2020 116 راديو كندا الدولي / إعداد سمير بن جعفر | barid@rcinet.ca طالب محامون من الحكومة الكنية بتمديد تأشيرات الدخول لمدة ثلاثة أشهر للطلاب والعمّال المؤقتين، والتي من المقرر أن تنتهي صلاحيتها في الأسابيع المقبلة. فمع استفحال جائحة فيروس كورونا في كندا والتي أدّت إلى توقّف الدراسة في الجامعات والمدارس، يجد الطلاب الأجانب أنفسهم في وضعية لا يحسدون عليها : فمن جهة لم يتموا دراستهم ومن جهة اقتربت نهاية مدة صلاحية تأشيراتهم ما يجبرهم على مغادرة البلاد. وفي حديث مع هيئة الإذاعة الكندية، قال غيوم كليش ريفار، رئيس الجمعية الكيبيكية لمحاميي الهجرة (AQAADI)، قد يكون هناك عشرات الآلاف من الطلبة الأجانب والعمال المؤقتين مهددين بنهاية صلاحية التأشيرة الوشيكة. ويمكن للحكومة أن تمدّد تلقائيًا جميع التأشيرات التي ستنتهي صلاحيتها في يونيو حزيران أو يوليو تمّوز، كما يوضح المحامي غيوم كليش ريفار. وأضاف هذا الأخير أنّ تمديد مدّة الصلاحية “سيكون من الإنسانية حيث تُسبّب هذه الوضعية الكثير من القلق للطلبة والعمال المؤقتين.” غيوم كليش ريفار، رئيس الجمعية الكيبيكية لمحاميي الهجرة – Radio Canada وبعثت جمعية المحامين برسالة مفتوحة إلى الحكومة الكندية موجّهة إلى رئيسها جوستان ترودو. “طلابنا وعمالنا الأجانب مستقرون هنا، وغالبًا معهم أطفال، ولديهم نفس الالتزامات مثل جميع المواطنين الكنديين ويواجهون نفس الصعوبات والضيق الذي نواجهه جميعا في هذه الأوقات الصعبة.”، كما جاء في الرسالة التي اطّلع عليها صحفيّو هيئة الإذاعة الكندية. ويمثّل هذا التمديد ضررًا أقل و لن يشكّل عبئًا إضافيًا على هؤلاء الطلبة والعاملين المؤقتين، وفقا لمجموعة المحامين التي تذكّر “أننا سنحتاج إلى هؤلاء العمال والطلبة بمجرد استقرار الوضع.” لكنّ في لوقت الحالي، لا يبدو أن حكومة ترودو تريد الاستجابة بشكل إيجابي لهذا الطلب. و بدلاً من ذلك، تقترح وزارة الهجرة حلًّا آخرًا. وتقول نانسي كارون، المتحدثة باسم وزارة الهجرة واللاجئين والمواطنة في كندا، “إن المقيمين المؤقتين الموجودين حاليًا في كندا يمكنهم تقديم طلب لتمديد وضعهم عبر الإنترنت إذا احتاجوا لذلك.” لكنذ هذا الحلّ لا يُرضي جمعية المحامين. ويقول غيوم كليش ريفار إن هذا ليس حلاً. ويفضّل أن تقوم الوزارة بتسوية جماعية. ويذكر المحامي أن تقديم طلب التمديد هذا ينطوي أيضًا على تكاليف إضافية ومستندات مختلفة، وهو أمر غير سهل في الوقت الحالي نظرًا لجائحة كوفيد 19.
