منح مجلس أوروبا الإثنين جائزة “فاتسلاف هافل” لحقوق الإنسان للعام 2020 للناشطة الحقوقية السعودية لُجين الهذلول التي “أمضت 1001 يوم في السجن” قبل الإفراج عنها في 11 فبراير/شباط 2020. وتبقى الناشطة البالغة 31 عاما قيد الإفراج المشروط لثلاث سنوات ولا يمكنها مغادرة المملكة لمدة خمس سنوات.
أعلن مجلس أوروبا الإثنين أنه منح جائزة “فاتسلاف هافل” لحقوق الإنسان للعام 2020 للناشطة الحقوقية السعودية لُجين الهذلول (31 عاما) التي سجنت لفترة طويلة في بلادها.
واعتبر مجلس أوروبا لجين الهذلول “واحدة من قادة الحركة النسوية السعودية”. وأضافت المنظمة الأوروبية: “قامت بحملة لإنهاء نظام ولاية الرجل وحظر قيادة المرأة السيارة وتعزيز حماية النساء ضحايا سوء المعاملة في المملكة”.
وتابع: لجين الهذلول “أمضت 1001 يوم في السجن بسبب موقفها”.
وقالت شقيقتها لينا الهذلول التي تسلمت الجائزة نيابة عنها عبر اتصال بالفيديو إن الدعم الدولي هو “السبيل الوحيد لنا لفضح الظلم في بلدي وحماية الضحايا. شكرا لإعطائنا القوة لمواصلة نضالنا”.
وأضافت: “ضحت لجين بنفسها حتى تحصل المرأة في المملكة العربية السعودية على حياة أفضل. وبسبب نشاطها، تم اختطافها وسجنها بشكل غير قانوني وتعذيبها بوحشية ووضعها في الحبس الانفرادي لأشهر عدة”.
وأوقفت الهذلول مع ناشطات حقوقيات أخريات ضمن حملة اعتقالات في أيار/مايو 2018، قبل أسابيع قليلة من رفع الحظر عن قيادة المرأة للسيارة في السعودية.
وأفرج عنها في 11 شباط/فبراير. لكنها تبقى قيد الإفراج المشروط لثلاث سنوات ولا يمكنها مغادرة المملكة لمدة خمس سنوات.
