الخليج الجديد / كشفت مجلة “فورين بوليسي” الأمريكية، أن المملكة العربية السعودية تستفيد من العيوب الموجودة في شبكات الاتصالات العالمية لتتبع حركة مواطنيها المسافرين في الولايات المتحدة، وهو ما يمكن اعتباره بشكل أو بآخر نوعا من التجسس يتم في أرض دولة أخرى.
وأضافت المجلة أنه على مدى 4 أشهر بدءا من نوفمبر/تشرين الثاني 2019، أرسلت كبرى شركات الاتصالات السعودية طلبات إلى شركات الهواتف الأمريكية النقالة، ما معدله 2.3 مليون طلب كل شهر للحصول على بيانات عن مكان استخدام الهاتف في عدد من المدن التي يوجد فيها المستخدمون (مواطنون سعوديون).
وأشارت المجلة إلى أنه تم إرسال الطلبات من خلال نظام إشارات يسمى SS7، والذي يسمح لمشغلي الهاتف المحمول بمشاركة المعلومات لأغراض مشروعة مثل حساب رسوم التجوال الدولي.
ووفق المجلة، فإن حجم الطلبات يشير إلى أنه تم استغلال النظام لتتبع تحركات المواطنين، حيث كان يتم إرسال 13 طلبا في الساعة، وكان يتم استخدام البيانات لتحديد موقع مستخدم الهاتف المحمول داخل عدد قليل من مباني المدينة.
وبينت المجلة أن السعودية راقبت وبشكل متكرر الهواتف النقالة التي يحملها نقادها، وقدم معارض للحكومة السعودية وهو من أحد أقارب الصحفي السعودي “جمال خاشقجي” الذي قتل بقنصلية بلاده في إسطنبول، دعوى قضائية ضد شركة إنتاج برمجيات التجسس الإسرائيلية “إن إس أو جروب” التي طورت نظام “بيجاسوس” واستخدمته المخابرات السعودية لملاحقة المعارضين لها والتنصت على هاتف “خاشقجي”.
ونقلت المجلة عن “أندرو ميلر”، العضو في مجلس الأمن القومي الأمريكي أثناء إدارة الرئيس السابق “باراك أوباما”، قوله إن التسريبات تكشف عن أن السعودية ربما ذهبت أبعد من ملاحقة المعارضين: “أعتقد أنهم لا يتجسسون على المعارضين فقط، بل على الذين يخافون من انحرافهم عن دعم القيادة السعودية”.
وأضاف: “إنهم خائفون بالتحديد مما سيفعله المواطنون السعوديون عندما يكونون في الدول الغربية”.
ونهاية الشهر الماضي، كشفت صحيفة “الجارديان” البريطانية أن السعودية استغلت خاصية تقنية تمثل نقطة ضعف في شبكة اتصالات الهاتف المحمول العالمية للتجسس على مواطنيها في الولايات المتحدة.

ونقلت الصحيفة، في تقرير، عن مخبرين تقنيين قولهم إن ملايين طلبات التتبع السرية أرسلت من المملكة العربية السعودية على مدى 4 أشهر لتحديد أماكن الهواتف التي تحتوي على خطوط محمول مسجلة في المملكة ومتواجدة على الأراضي الأمريكية، وأن تلك الطلبات بدأت بكثافة في نوفمبر/تشرين الثاني 2019.
كما سبق أن كشفت تقارير غربية أن السعودية تجسست على طلابها المبتعثين للخارج في عدة دول وأنهت دراسة بعضهم.
