X FILEعربي عُمان: حكاية السلطنة التي تخلصت من الاحتلال البرتغالي لتقيم إمبراطورية في آسيا وأفريقيا by admin 21 نوفمبر، 2021 written by admin 21 نوفمبر، 2021 310 BBC \ في مثل هذا الوقت من نوفمبر/تشرين الثاني من عام 1650 تخلصت عمان من براثن الاحتلال البرتغالي الذي استمر نحو 140 عاما لتتحول عمان بعد ذلك من بلد مُحتل إلى إمبراطورية كبرى ممتدة عبر سواحل آسيا وأفريقيا. فما هي قصة السلطنة؟ وما هي حكاية الاحتلال البرتغالي؟ وكيف تخلصت البلاد منه لتتحول إلى إمبراطورية مترامية الأطراف؟ بلد فريد تحتل عمان موقعا استراتيجيا متميزا عند مدخل الخليج في الزاوية الجنوبية الشرقية لشبه الجزيرة العربية، وكانت في القرن التاسع عشر تتنافس مع البرتغال وبريطانيا على النفوذ في منطقتي الخليج والمحيط الهندي. ولا تتميز عمان بالموقع الفريد فحسب بل بالمذهب الأباضي الذي يعتنقه 75 في المئة من سكانها أيضا. وتقول دائرة المعارف البريطانية إن هذا المذهب ترجع أصوله إلى حركة الخوارج التي بدأت خلال حكم الخليفة الثالث عثمان بن عفان ولكن الإباضية عكس الخوارج فهم ليسوا متشددين بل يميلون إلى التسامح. من هو ذي يزن بن هيثم ولي عهد سلطنة عمان؟ كيف وصلت الإباضية إلى الجزائر؟ وكان الخوارج في البداية من أنصار علي بن أبي طالب ابن عم النبي محمد، ولكن عندما وافق علي على التحكيم مع معاوية بن أبي سفيان عقب موقعة صفين رفضوا قيادته ورفعوا شعار أن الحاكمية لله وحده. وبعد انشقاقهم اعتبروا أن الجميع قد حاد عن طريق الحق إلا هم. وكان عبد الله بن إباض هو المسؤول عن خروج هذه الفرقة من حركة الخوارج في عهد عبد الملك بن مروان خامس خلفاء بني أمية، وقد تخلوا عن أساليب العنف التي انتهجتها الفرق الأخرى، واستقروا في أواخر القرن الثامن الميلادي في عمان حيث تمتعوا بالعزلة والحرية ويمثلون اليوم أغلبية سكان السلطنة حيث يصل عددهم إلى نحو 75 في المئة من السكان. GETTY IMAGES سلطنة عمان (صورة أرشيفية تعود لعام 1957) ومع وصول الإمامة الإباضية لعمان توحدت سياسيا وكانت قيادة الدولة الجديدة هناك تتم بانتخاب الإمام الذي كان يعمل كحاكم سياسي وزعيم ديني في وقت واحد. وقد وصلت الإباضية إلى زنجبار وشرق أفريقيا عندما كانت تابعة لسلطنة عمان. المد البرتغالي بعد فترة وجيزة من رحلة المستكشف البرتغالي فاسكو دي غاما حول رأس الرجاء الصالح عام 1497، عمل البرتغاليون على السيطرة على طرق التجارة في المحيط الهندي ودمروا سفن التجارة العربية التي كانت تنقل البضائع من الهند إلى سواحل عمان والخليج. وقد بدأ التوسع والانتشار البرتغالي بحملات في ساحل أفريقيا الغربي جنوب الصحراء للحصول على السلع والعبيد. وقد بدأت مرحلة الاستعمار البرتغالي في شرق أفريقيا، مع وصول الرحالة الأوائل إلى تلك المنطقة منذ بداية القرن الـ 16 الميلادي. وقد تمكنت البرتغال وبتشجيع من دي غاما من احتلال زنجبار والمدن الساحلية لتبدأ حقبة استعمار في ساحل شرق أفريقيا، استمرت ما يقرب من قرنين. ففي عام 1505، هاجم الأسطول البحري البرتغالي بقيادة فرانسيسكو دي ألميدا، الذي تم تعيينه حاكما ونائبا للملك في الهند البرتغالية، سواحل زنجبار ومومباسا، فنهبوها وأحرقوا منازل السكان فيها، وقاموا بتدمير السفن الراسية في الموانئ ثم سيطروا عليها. وبعد أن سيطر البرتغاليون على ساحل شرق إفريقيا، وجهوا اهتمامهم صوب عُمان، التي كانوا يعتبرونها المنافس التجاري لهم في المحيط الهندي، فأرسل ملك البرتغال حملة بحرية بقيادة ألفونسو دي ألبوكيرك عام 1506 إلى جزيرة سوقطرة اليمنية فتم الاستيلاء عليها. وتقول دائرة المعارف البريطانية إن البرتغاليين استولوا على مسقط عام 1507 وسرعان ما سيطروا على الساحل العماني بأكمله. وبعد ذلك بعام استولوا على هرمز في مدخل الخليج. وقد أرسلت دولة المماليك في مصر والدولة العثمانية حملات بحرية للتصدي للبرتغاليين، ولكن دون جدوى. وحقق البرتغاليون هدفهم بتأمين الطريق إلى الهند فوصلوا إلى غوا، التي باتت لاحقا مركز إمبراطوريتهم في الشرق، في عام 1510. وبعد أن استولى عليها ألفونسو دي ألبوكيرك باتت غوا بمثابة القاعدة البرتغالية الرئيسية في الشرق لمدة أربعة قرون ونصف. وكان لقدوم البرتغاليين إلى الهند أسباب متعددة، أهمها الحصول على كميات من التوابل القيمة، مثل الفلفل الأسود والهيل الأخضر، والعودة بها إلى بلادهم، بجانب نشر المسيحية. GETTY IMAGES ، بدأ التوسع البرتغالي بعد رحلة المستكشف البرتغالي فاسكو دي غاما حول رأس الرجاء الصالح وكان ألبوكيرك يقصد أن تكون غوا مستعمرة وقاعدة بحرية، بخلاف المصانع المحصنة التي تم إنشاؤها في بعض الموانئ البحرية الهندية. وقد شجع رجاله على الزواج من نساء من السكان الأصليين والاستقرار في غوا كمزارعين أو تجار تجزئة أو حرفيين. وقد سرّ البرتغاليون بما وجدوه في هذه المنطقة الهندية من شواطئ بِكر وغابات وارفة الأشجار، فضلا عن ميناء قابل للاستخدام، سهّل حركة التجارة بين غوا والمناطق المجاورة لها. ولذلك بقي البرتغاليون هناك لأكثر من 450 عاما. ولم ينته الاستعمار البرتغالي لهذه المنطقة سوى في عام 1961، أي بعد 14 عاما كاملة من نيل الهند استقلالها عن بريطانيا. اليعاربة وتحرير عمان أدت عدة عوامل خلال القرن السابع عشر إلى إضعاف سيطرة البرتغاليين على الساحل العربي على رأسها استمرار مقاومة موانئ الخليج للاحتلال البرتغالي، فقد قامت ثورتان كبيرتان في عامي 1521 و1526 ضد سيطرة البرتغاليين اشتركت فيهما كل من هرمز، والبحرين، وقلهات، وصحار، ومسقط. بحسب الأرشيف الوطني لدولة الإمارات. وفي عام 1602 تمكن شاه عباس الأول حاكم فارس من طرد البرتغاليين من البحرين، كما تم الاستيلاء على هرمز عام 1622 نتيجة عملية عسكرية بريطانية فارسية مشتركة. واستولى الفرس في السنة نفسها على خور فكان ولكن ما لبث الأميرال البرتغالي راي فرير دا أندرادا أن طردهم منها عام 1623، وبعد ذلك بفترة قصيرة تمكنت قوة عربية بقيادة إمام اليعاربة الأول ناصر بن مرشد من طرد راي فرير نفسه. لقد خرجت مسقط وساحل عمان من قبضة البرتغال حيث تمكنت قوات اليعاربة عام 1633بقيادة ناصر بن مرشد من طرد البرتغاليين من جلفار ودبا كما استعادوا صحار عام 1643. ،GETTY IMAGES وقد استمر القتال إلى أن تم تحرير مسقط آخر معاقل البرتغاليين عام 1650 بقيادة الإمام الجديد سلطان بن سيف الذي تولى في العام السابق بعد وفاة ابن عمه الإمام ناصر بن مرشد. فقد سار بن سيف على رأس جيشه من الرستاق، وهاجم البرتغاليين وطردهم من مسقط. وقد حاول البرتغاليون استعادة مسقط في عام 1650وفشلوا، كما فشلت حملتهم أيضا في انتزاع المدينة في عام 1652. ولم يكتفِ العمانيون بطرد البرتغاليين من البلاد والدفاع عنها فقط، بل ظلوا يطاردونهم وأرسلوا أساطيل هاجمت القواعد البرتغالية في سواحل الهند وأفريقيا، وبدأ العمانيون في تشكيل أسطولهم البحري العسكري الضخم معتمدين على الأسطول البرتغالي الذي سيطروا عليه. وقد نجحت البحرية التابعة لعُمان في طرد البرتغاليين من سواحل شرق أفريقيا باستثناء موزمبيق، حيث سيطر العمانيون على مومباسا في كينيا في عام 1661 وباتت زنجبار تحت سيطرة العمانيين عام 1696. كما هاجم العمانيون القوات البرتغالية في مومباي في الهند عبر المحيط الهندي في عامي 1661 و1662، وألحقوا أضرارا جسيمة بالأسطول البرتغالي. التوسُع الإمبراطوري وهكذا تشكلت الامبراطورية العمانية عندما انطلقت الأساطيل العمانية لتطارد الأساطيل البرتغالية وتفرض الحماية على الموانئ المحيطة ببحر العرب لتمتد الإمبراطورية من كوادر شرقا (تقع جنوب باكستان اليوم) حتى ماجنكا جنوبا ( تقع في جزيرة مدغشقر). لكن عصفت حرب أهلية بالبلاد بسبب نزاعات على خلافة الإمام في أوائل القرن الثامن عشر فوقعت عمان فريسة لاحتلال فارسي في عام 1737 حتى جرت مبايعة أحمد بن سعيد، حاكم صُحار، إماما في عام 1744، وقد نجح في طرد الفرس وأسس أسرة آل بوسعيد التي لا تزال تحكم عمان حتى اليوم. وفي ظل حكم حفيده سعيد بن سلطان استعادت عُمان السيطرة على زنجبار في عام 1828 ليصبح لقبه سلطان عمان وزنجبار، ونقل عاصمته إلى زنجبار. PINTEREST استعاد سعيد بن سلطان السيطرة على زنجبار غير أنه بعد وفاته عام 1856 تقاتل ابناه ماجد وثويني على خلافته، وهو ما أدى إلى انقسام الإمبراطورية إلى قسمين: القسم الأفريقي، أي زنجبار، الذي أصبح تحت سلطة ماجد بن سعيد. أما القسم الآسيوي فتولى حكمه ثويني بن سعيد، الذي كان ينوب عن والده في حكم عمان منذ عام 1833، وخضعت السلطنة للنفوذ البريطاني منذ القرن الـ19. وباتت مسقط تخضع بشكل متزايد لنفوذ بريطانيا في نهاية القرن الثامن ومع الاقتراب من نهاية القرن التاسع عشر، وذلك من خلال سلسلة من المعاهدات وافق فيها السلطان على استشارة بريطانيا في كل “الأمور المهمة”. والتزمت بريطانيا في عام 1895 بحماية السلطان فيصل بن تركي في مسقط ومطرح من الهجمات القبلية، لذلك تمكن البريطانيون من ممارسة نفوذهم بشكل غير رسمي، من خلال الحفاظ على مناصب السلاطين. حكاية أميرة عربية وقعت في حب شاب أوروبي وهربت من أجله تعرف على الأرخبيل الأفريقي الذي اعتقل فيه 20 شخصا بتهمة المثلية وكان تابعا لسلطنة عمان وفي أواخر القرن التاسع عشر، وسعت بريطانيا نفوذها ليشمل شرق إفريقيا بشكل عام وزنجبار بشكل خاص. وفي حين قام السلطان ماجد بن سعيد بتوسيع ممتلكات زنجبار الإقليمية مما أدى إلى ارتفاع أهميتها التجارية العالمية في النصف الأول من القرن التاسع عشر، اضطر خلفه برغش إلى الانحناء للقوى الأوروبية وتقسيم الأرض بين البريطانيين والألمان، وسار السلاطين اللاحقون على نهجه. وبحلول عام 1890، أقنعت بريطانيا السلطنة بالتخلي عن أراضيها في البر الرئيسي لألمانيا، وأعلنت أن سلطنة زنجبار محمية تابعة لها. وعندما أصبحت زنجبار محمية بريطانية، حددت بريطانيا هدفين رئيسيين للسياسة وهما الأول: إلغاء العبودية، والثاني: استعادة الاقتصاد التجاري للجزيرة لعافيته. وقد أثارت السياسة الاقتصادية للقنصل العام غيرالد بورتال غضب التجار الزنجباريين، ولكن ما أغضبهم أكثر هو السياسة المتعلقة بالعبودية التي كانت جزءا لا يتجزأ من أسلوب حياتهم حيث ارتفعت قيمة مزارع التوابل طوال القرن التاسع عشر. وقاوم السلطان علي بن سعيد توجيهات بريطانيا حتى وفاته عام 1893، وعندما حان الوقت لاختيار خليفته أرادت بريطانيا أن يكون السلطان القادم أكثر خضوعا لسلطاتها وتوجيهاتها. ومن بين العديد من المطالبين بالعرش دعم البريطانيون حمد بن ثورين إلا أن الأمير خالد بن برغش تحدى ذلك واحتل قصر السلطنة. GETTY IMAGES ، كانت الضغوط الأوروبية على السلطان برغش بن سعيد كبيرة وبرر خالد بن برغش مطالبته بالعرش باعتبار أنه الابن الوحيد للراحل برغش وأنه تم تجاهله بعد وفاة والده، على الرغم من أن قوانين وراثة العرش هناك لم تجعل لقب السلطان وراثيا. وقد تمكنت السلطات البريطانية من إقناع خالد بالتنحي، مما جعل حمد بن ثورين السلطان بلا منازع. وعلى الرغم من رضوخ السلطان حمد في البداية، إلا أنه بحلول عام 1896 كان قد زاد امتعاضه من البريطانيين، وذهب إلى حد إنشاء قوة عسكرية قوامها ألف رجل موالية له فقط. وتوفي حمد بن ثورين في 25 أغسطس/آب من ذلك العام، مما أثار صراعا آخر على العرش. وأراد الدبلوماسي البريطاني رفيع المستوى آرثر هاردينغ أن يتولى حمود بن محمد العرش معتقدا أنه سيكون سلطانا مرنا ولن يعارض التوجه البريطاني الساعي لإلغاء العبودية. ونقل هاردينغ وجهة نظره لنائبه باسل كيف، لكن خالدا الذي تم تجاوزه بعد وفاة كل من برغش وعلي لم يكن مستعدا للتعرض للاستهانة بمكانته للمرة الثالثة، فأعلن نفسه سلطانا على زنجبار واستولى على القصر. وبعد حرب قصيرة لم تتجاوز 40 دقيقة سيطر المشاة البريطانيون والزنجباريون الموالون لهم على الجزيرة، فيما استسلمت قوات السلطان خالد بن برغش الذي هرب من القصر ولجأ إلى القنصلية الألمانية. وبحلول عصر ذلك اليوم نفسه، عُين حمود بن محمد سلطانا على زنجبار. ووافق السلطان حمود على الفور على جميع الشروط البريطانية، وقبل المطالب البريطانية المتعلقة بإلغاء العبودية. GETTY IMAGESة، قصر سلطان زنجبار في 19 ديسمبر/كانون الأول من عام 1963 أعلنت زنجبار استقلالها كسلطنة عن بريطانيا وفي 12 يناير/كانون الثاني من عام 1964 قامت ثورة ضد السلطان جمشيد بن عبد الله لتنهي الحكم العماني للجزيرة التي اتحدت مع تنجنيقا لتشكلا دولة تنزانيا عام 1964. وهكذا انتهت الإمبراطورية العُمانية بتخليها عن كوادر للحكومة الباكستانية سنة 1958، وبضم سلطنة زنجبار إلى تنزانيا سنة 1964. آخر السلاطين وفي سبتمبر/أيلول من العام الماضي غادر جمشيد بن عبد الله آل سعيد سلطان زنجبار السابق، آخر سلاطين زنجبار من آل بوسيعد والبالغ من العمر 92 عاما، إلى سلطنة عمان. فقد وصل الرجل الذي حكم زنجبار، وهي أرخبيل صغير في المحيط الهندي، حتى الإطاحة به في ثورة دموية في يناير/كانون الثاني عام 1964 إلى مسقط مؤخرا. وتقول صحيفة الغارديان إن الحكومة العمانية رفضت طلبات سابقة عديدة من السلطان السابق للسماح له بالتوجه إلى السلطنة. لكن أحد أفراد أسرته في مسقط قال لصحيفة ذي ناشيونال التي تتخذ من أبوظبي مقرا لها إن طلبه للتقاعد في عمان قد تمت الموافقة عليه الآن بسبب سنه. وأضاف قائلا: “لقد أراد دائما أن يقضي أيامه الأخيرة في بلد أسلافه والآن هو سعيد لأنه قادر على فعل ذلك”. ورفض مسؤول حكومي التعليق، بحسب الغارديان. ولد جمشيد بن عبد الله في 16 سبتمبر/أيلول عام 1929، وأصبح سلطانا على زنجبار بعد وفاة والده عبد الله بن خليفة في يوليو/تموز عام 1963. وفي ديسمبر/كانون الأول عام 1963 تم منح تلك الجزر الواقعة على بعد 22 ميلا قبالة ساحل تنزانيا الاستقلال عن بريطانيا. وبعد شهر واحد فقط أي في يناير/كانون الثاني عام 1964 أطاحت الأغلبية الأفريقية بحكم النخبة العربية في ثورة يسارية جارفة ودموية. وتقول دائرة المعارف البريطانية إنه على الرغم من أن الثورة قام بها حوالي 600 رجل مسلح فقط تحت قيادة القائد الشيوعي جون أوكيلو إلا أنها حظيت بدعم كبير من السكان الأفارقة. وقد تعرض الآلاف من العرب لمذابح في أعمال شغب وفر الآلاف من الأرخبيل الذي أصبح جمهورية زنجبار وبيمبا الشعبية. وعلى أثر ذلك، وقع رئيسا زنجبار وتنجانيقا (في القارة الأفريقية) اتحادا باسم تنزانيا تتمتع فيه زنجبار بشبه حكم ذاتي. وكان جمشيد بن عبد الله قد فر من زنجبار على متن يخت ملكي بعد استيلاء المتمردين على قصره. وبعد رفض السماح له بالاستقرار في عمان، سافر إلى بريطانيا مع حاشية مكونة من 61 من الأقارب والأصدقاء والمعاونين. وبعد ذلك بأسبوعين، ذكرت صحيفة نيويورك تايمز أن الوضع المالي للسلطان اضطره للانتقال من فندقه الفاخر القريب من قصر باكنغهام إلى فندق متواضع في منطقة بايز ووتر. وذكرت الصحيفة أنه في مايو/آيار عام 1964 دفعت الحكومة البريطانية مبلغ مئة ألف جنيه إسترليني للسلطان السابق. وقد سمح له ذلك المبلغ بالاستقرار في منزل شبه منفصل في شارع هادئ في ساوثسي بهامبشاير حيث كان التناقض مع شواطئ زنجبار البيضاء والمياه الكريستالية مذهلا، وربما مؤلما بعض الشيء. وفي عام 2000 أصدر رئيس زنجبار السابق سالمين عمور عفوا عن جمشيد بن عبد الله. وقال عمور حينئذ إن جمشيد حر في العودة إلى زنجبار ولكن ليس كسلطان وإنما كمواطن. GETTY IMAGES، جمشيد بن عبد الله آخر سلاطين زنجبار وعلى مدى 56 عاما عاشها في المنتجع الساحلي في المملكة المتحدة، لم يلفت السلطان انتباها كبيرا. وقال الكاتب نيد دونوفان،الذي تابع قصة السلطان: “لم أجد أي شخص محلي يعرف أنه كان هناك، لم يتحدث أبدا إلى الصحافة، لقد عاش منزويا للغاية “. ثورة ظفار بين عامي 1963 و1975 شهدت سلطنة عمان واحدا من أبرز النزاعات المسلحة الصامتة خلال الحرب الباردة، فقد خاضت قوات السلطان، والتي كانت قيادتها بريطانية، حربا ضد حركة ماركسية مسلحة تمركزت في إقليم ظفار الجنوبي. في عام 1963 اندلعت “ثورة ظفار” داخل نطاق قبلي ضيق حيث تشكلت جبهة تحرير ظفار ضد حكم السلطان سعيد بن تيمور الذي كان يحظر في عهده الطب الحديث والنظارات والإذاعات. وكان لابتعاد الإقليم عن بقية البلاد أثره في تشجيع التمرد على ذلك النمط من الحكم الذي يمكن وصفه بأنه كان يعود إلى مرحلة القرون الوسطى. لم تستطع الجبهة تحقيق نتائج تذكر في سنواتها الأولى ولكن بعد انسحاب بريطانيا من عدن وظهور الحكومة اليسارية لجمهورية اليمن الديموقراطية الشعبية تغير الوضع. GETTY IMAGES ، تشكلت جبهة تحرير ظفار ضد حكم السلطان سعيد بن تيمور فقد كانت الحكومة الجديدة حريصة على دعم الجبهة وإمدادها بالسلاح والمال اللازم بل و ساعدتها في الحصول على تدريب صيني على حرب العصابات كما تلقت تدريبا على يد مدربين من كوريا شماليا على أعمال الاغتيال والتخريب في الوقت الذي قدم فيه الاتحاد السوفيتي وكوبا السلاح والتدريب. وعلى أثر ذلك قررت الجبهة في مؤتمرها الثاني الذي عقدته في حمرير عدم اقتصار الثورة على ظفار في سلطنة عمان وإنما توسيعها لتمشل كل أنحاء الخليج، ومن ثم عمدت إلى تغيير اسمها من الجبهة الشعبية لتحرير ظفار إلى “الجبهة الشعبية لتحرير الخليج العربي المحتل”. وتلا ذلك تصاعد الاشتباكات بين قوات الجبهة التي وصل عددها لـ 6 آلاف مقاتل وحكومة السلطنة لتصبح يومية، وبحلول عام 1970 كانت الجبهة تسيطر على نحو 80 في المئة من أراضي إقليم ظفار وكان البريطانيون يشكون في قدرة السلطان على الاحتفاظ بالإقليم لعام آخر. وكان البريطانيون يخشون من أن يكون للانتصار اليساري في ظفار تأثير الدومينو على باقي دول الخليج. السلطان قابوس وفي عام 1970 قام قابوس نجل السلطان سعيد بالإطاحة بوالده الذي كان معارضا للإصلاح، وشرع في حركة إصلاح واسعة النطاق في البلاد، وانتشرت فيها المدارس والمستشفيات. وعلى صعيد التمرد في ظفار أعلن السلطان قابوس منح الأمان لكل من يلقي السلاح من المتمردين ليتم دمج هؤلاء الذين ألقوا السلاح ضمن قوات غير نظامية في الإقليم. وعلى الضفة الأخرى من مضيق هرمز كان شاه إيران الراحل محمد رضا بهلوي يراقب الموقف في عمان عن كثب، إذ كان يخشى من انتشار الأفكار الشيوعية في دول الخليج.
