المعتقدات الدينية للاضطهاد. وقد ازداد قمع الحكومات لهؤلاء بشكل خاص في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا، مقابل ذلك تزداد الشكوك في الأديان بين سكان عدة دول في المنطقة. يتزايد عدد البلدان التي تتعرض فيها مجموعات دينية معينة للقمع والعداء الاجتماعي، هذا ما خلصت إليه نتيجة دراسة حديثة أجراها مركز بيو للأبحاث (Pew Research Center)، والذي يدرس القوانين والممارسات المتعلقة بالتعامل مع الأديان في 198 دولة حول العالم. وقد ارتفع عدد البلدان التي يتعرض فيها الأشخاص للعنف بسبب معتقداتهم الدينية من 39 إلى 56 دولة بين عامي 2007 و 2017. في ألمانيا أيضاً تدخل الاعتداءات ذات الصبغة الدينية ضمن الحياة اليومية. ووفقًا للتقرير الخاص بحماية الدستور في عام 2018، تم تسجيل 453 جريمة ذات “دوافع دينية أيديولوجية” العام الماضي. لكن يلاحظ أن هذه الأرقام آخذة في الانخفاض، إذ في عام 2017، تم تسجيل 907 جريمة بلده فتوى بحقه بسبب منشور على صفحته الشخصية في موقع فيسبوك. وقد علق في المنشور على حادث القطار في القاهرة بالقول: “كيف يسمح الله بمقتل كل هذا العدد من المسلمين؟”. في عام 2007، وفقاً لدراسة مركز بيو للأبحاث بعنوان “نظرة فاحصة على كيفية اتساع نطاق القيود الدينية حول العالم” ، اقتصرت هذه الاعتداءات ذات الطابع الديني على أربع دول أوروبية. وفي العام 2017، شهدت 15 دولة في أوروبا اعتداءات من هذا النوع. مظاهرات في إندونيسيا ضد أعمال العنف والاعتداءات على الروهينغا تزايد معاداة السامية ضحايا الاعتداءات الدينية ليسوا فقط من الذين يصنفون أنفسهم من الملحدين وحسب، بل ايضا من المنتمين إلى مختلف الديانات ومن ضمنهم مسلمين ومسيحيين ويهود. فلوريان أيشوير من مؤسسة أماديو أنطونيو يؤكد تطور الظاهرة:” لسنوات ظل اليهود يشتكون من تفاقم وضعهم في ألمانيا، لكن الآن يرى معظمهم أن الوضع في تدهور متزايد”. ويشير أيشوير إلى دراسة أجرتها جامعة بيليفيلد في أبريل/ نيسان عام 2017 حول “وجهات النظر اليهودية بشأن معاداة السامية في ألمانيا”. ووفقاً لما خلصت إليه نتائج هذه الدراسة، فإن 70 في المائة من اليهود الذين شملهم استطلاع الرأي يخشون من ارتفاع نسبة المعادين للسامية بسبب المواقف المعادية لها بين اللاجئين. وفي الوقت نفسه، يرى 84 في المائة منهم أن معاداة السامية في ألمانيا تبقى مشكلة غير مرتبطة باللاجئين. قمع الحكومات على المستوى الرسمي تفاقمت عمليات الحظر والقيود عن طريق العقبات القانونية والبيروقراطية ضد جماعات دينية معينة. ووفقًا لمركز بيو، ارتفع عدد الدول التي فرضت مثل هذه القيود من 40 إلى 52 دولة بين عامي 2007 و 2017. وقد انضمت الصين و روسيا وإندونيسيا والسعودية إلى القائمة. وبشكل خاص ازداد قمع الحكومات للمجتمعات الدينية في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا بنسبة 72 في المائة. وباستثناء لبنان،
