AFP/ ألغى المرشد الأعلى للجمهورية الإسلامية في إيران آية الله علي خامنئي الخطاب الذي كان يعتزم إلقاءه في 20 الجاري في مدينة مشهد (شمال شرق) بمناسبة رأس السنة الفارسية بسبب تفشّي فيروس كورونا المستجدّ، بحسب ما أعلن مكتبه الإثنين.
وقال مكتب خامنئي في بيان إنّ “حفل خطاب المرشد الأعلى الذي يجري سنوياً في مقام الإمام الرضا في اليوم الأول من العام الجديد لن يجري هذا العام وآية الله خامنئي لن يتوجّه إلى مشهد”.
وباتت إيران إحدى أبرز بؤر وباء كورونا في العالم إذ وصل إلى 237 عدد الذين توفوا جرّاء هذا الفيروس في البلاد لغاية يوم الإثنين.
وأوضح البيان أنّ قرار إلغاء الخطاب اتّخذ “بسبب تفشّي فيروس كورونا والنصائح الصارمة من المسؤولين والخبراء الصحيين والطبيين لتجنّب التجمّعات والتنقّلات من أجل منع انتشار المرض”.
ومشهد هي عاصمة محافظة خراسان الرضوية وثاني كبرى مدن البلاد من حيث عدد السكّان، كما أنّها إحدى أبرز المدن الشيعية المقدّسة في البلاد، وهي كذلك مسقط رأس آية الله خامنئي.
ووفقاً لآخر الأرقام الصادرة عن وزارة الصحة، بلغ عدد المصابين بكورونا في محافظة خراسان الرضوية 183 شخصاً.
ويعتبر الخطاب الذي يلقيه المرشد الأعلى سنوياً في مدينة مشهد بمثابة برنامج يحدّد الأهداف الرئيسية للبلاد خلال الاشهر ال12 التالية.
ومع اقتراب حلول عيد رأس السنة الفارسية، الذي يعتبر عادة مناسبة لتنقل كثير من المواطنين في أرجاء البلاد، أمرت السلطات في العديد من المحافظات بإغلاق الفنادق وسائر أماكن الإقامة السياحية في محاولة منها لثني المواطنين عن التنقّل.
وكان آية الله خامنئي (80 عاماً) ظهر على شاشات التلفزيون الثلاثاء مرتدياً قفازات واقية مماثلة لتلك المستخدمة في المستشفيات، وقد حثّ الإيرانيين على اتّباع الإرشادات الحكومية لمنع انتشار الوباء.
ووفقاً لآخر الأرقام الرسمية، أصيب أكثر من 7000 شخص بالفيروس في إيران توفّي منهم 237 بينهم عدد من السياسيين ورجال الدين.
