يستخدم الذكاء الصناعي عملية حرق الخزف “المبتكرة” بغية تشكيل مواد جديدة

قال عدد من العلماء إنّ طريقة جديدة، تشكِّل “اختراقاً” علميّاً، لحرق مواد الخزف بسرعة قصوى، من شأنها أن تفسح في المجال أمام تحقيق قفزة في تصنيع مجموعة واسعة من المنتجات، من بينها بطاريات الحالة الصلبة وخلايا الوقود، وكذلك في تقنيات الطباعة الثلاثية الأبعاد.

يستخدم البشر الخزف منذ 26 ألف عام على الأقل، غير أنّ التلبيد (أو التصليد) التقليديّ لهذه المادة، وهو جزء من عملية الحرق (إلى درجة حرارة أقل من درجة حرارة الانصهار) التي تجعل المواد أكثر صلابة، يمكن أن يستغرق ساعات من الوقت.

ينبغي أولاً تسخين الأفران، ثم يستغرق “خبز” مواد الخزف ساعات عدة.

ليست عملية التلبيد طويلة فحسب، إنّما تمثِّل أيضاً مشكلات بعينها بالنسبة إلى الاستخدامات التي يمكن استعمال المواد فيها لاحقاً.

غير أنّ التقنية الجديدة، التي طوّرها علماء في جامعة ميريلاند الأميركيّة، أوجدت ما يصفه الباحثون بأنّه “طريقة تلبيد عالية الحرارة فائقة السرعة تلبِّي حاجات الخزف الحديثة وتدعم اكتشاف مبتكرات جديدة لهذه المواد”.

حتى أنّ ذلك يمكن أن يشمل الذكاء الصناعيّ عبر استخدام التقنية في تصميم أنواع جديدة تماماً من المواد، ما يفتح الباب أمام مجموعة واسعة من الاستعمالات المستقبليّة المحتملة.

يوفِّر اختراع العلماء، على ما يبدو، مستويات عالية من التسخين والتبريد، كذلك توزيعاً متساوياً للحرارة عند تلبيد المواد حين يصل إلى 3000 درجة مئويّة.

تتطلّب التقنية الجديدة “أقل من 10 ثوانٍ من وقت المعالجة الكليّ”، الذي قال العلماء إنه كان أسرع من طريقة الفرن التقليديّ المُستعمل في التلبيد بما يفوق الألف مرة.

تطرّق إلى أهمية الطريقة الجديدة البروفيسور ليانغ بينغ هو، الذي قاد الدراسة، وقال: “بهذا الاختراع، “حصرنا” حبيبة خضراء مضغوطة من مساحيق السلائف الخزفية بين شريحتين من الكربون عملتا بشكل سريع على تسخين الكريات عبر عمليتي الإشعاع والتوصيل الحراريّ، ما أنشأ بيئة ذات درجة حرارة مرتفعة متسقة دفعت مسحوق الخزف إلى التصلّب بسرعة. درجة الحرارة عالية بما يكفي لتلبيد أيّ مادة خزفية. كذلك يمكن توسيع هذه العملية الحاصلة على براءة اختراع لتشمل مواد أخرى إلى جانب الخزف”.

تحدّث في هذا الشأن أيضاً يافي مو، البروفيسور المساعد في جامعة ميريلاند، وذكر: “تعالج الطريقة الجديدة المشكلة المعوّقة الرئيسة في الحوسبة وفي اكتشاف المواد الموجّه بواسطة الذكاء الصناعيّ. لقد قدّمنا نموذجاً جديداً لاكتشاف المواد بوتيرة سريعة غير مسبوقة”.

أمّا البروفيسور جيان لو من “جامعة كاليفورنيا في سان دييغو”، الذي شارك أيضاً في المشروع، فقال: “تمثِّل عملية التلبيد الفائقة السرعة بدرجات الحرارة العالية اختراقاً في تقنيات التلبيد الفائق السرعة، ليس فقط بسبب قابليتها للتطبيق العام على مجموعة واسعة من المواد الوظيفيّة، إنّما أيضاً نظراً إلى القدرة الكبيرة على توليد مواد سائبة غير متوازنة عبر الإبقاء على شوائب فائضة أو إنشائها”.

وأضاف شايو شانغ، البروفيسور المساعد في “جامعة كاليفورنيا في لوس أنجلوس”: “يسرنا أن نرى المدّة الزمنية التي يستغرقها التحلّل الحراريّ تنخفض من عشرات الساعات إلى بضع ثوانٍ، محافظةً على البنى الدقيقة المطبوعة الثلاثيّة الأبعاد بعد عملية التلبيد السريع”.
