أظهرت نتائج دراسة طبية أن التناول اليومي لحبة دواء مركبة من مزج أربعة أدوية محددة، يمكن أن يقلل عدد الأزمات القلبية والسكتات الدماغية بمقدار الثلث.
وتحتوي حبة الدواء ذات الاستطبابات المتعددة على الأسبرين المميع للدم، والستاتين الخافض للكوليسترول، ودوائين آخرين لخفض ضغط الدم.
وقال الباحثون الذين تعاونوا لإجراء الدراسة، وهم من المملكة المتحدة وإيران، إن هذه الحبة الدوائية تتمتع بتأثير هائل، رغم أن كلفتها لا تتجاوز بضع بنسات في اليوم.
ويقترح الباحثون أن تعطى هذه الحبة كعلاج وقائي لكافة الأشخاص الذين تعدوا سناً معينة في البلدان الفقيرة، حيث تكون خيارات المعالجة المتاحة أمام الأطباء محدودة، وكذلك قدرتهم على تقييم الوضع الصحي للأفراد.
وتتصدر أمراض القلب والشرايين التاجية قائمة الأسباب المؤدية للوفاة في جميع أنحاء العالم، وهي تتسبب بوفاة أكثر من 15 مليون شخص سنوياً.

كما يزيد التدخين والسمنة وقلة ممارسة التمارين الرياضية من خطر الإصابة بأمراض القلب.
وكانت الدراسة التي نشرت في مجلة “لانسيت” الطبية الأسبوعية، شملت أكثر من 100 قرية في إيران، وشارك فيها نحو 6800 شخص.
وأعطي نحو نصف الأشخاص قرص الدواء اليومي، مع تقديم نصائح حول كيفية تحسين نمط حياتهم، بينما حصل النصف الآخر على النصائح فقط.
وبعد خمس سنوات سجلت 202 حالة إصابة في القلب أو الأوعية الدموية من بين 3421 شخصاً كانوا يأخذون حبة الدواء يومياً. مقابل 301 حالة من بين3417 شخصاً لم يأخذوا الحبة المذكورة.
ويقول البروفيسور توم مارشال، من جامعة برمنغهام البريطانية، لبي بي سي نيوز “قدمنا أدلة حصلنا عليها من بلد نامٍ أو متوسط الدخل، وهذا حال الكثير من البلدان. إن هذه استراتيجية تستحق الأخذ بالاعتبار”.
وأظهرت الدراسة أن قرص الدواء المذكور أدى إلى انخفاض كبير في الكوليسترول السيء، في حين كان تأثيره طفيفاً على خفض ضغط الدم.
وأعطي الدواء لأشخاص تزيد أعمارهم عن 50 عاماً، بغضّ النظر عن كونهم يعانون من مشكلة قلبية سابقة أم لا.

وقالت الدكتورة نضال صراف زادكَان، من جامعة أصفهان للعلوم الطبية في إيران إنه “نظراً لسهولة الحصول على الدواء، فهناك إمكانات كبيرة لتحسين صحة القلب والأوعية الدموية، ومنع السبب الرئيسي للوفاة في العالم”.
وفكرة قرص الدواء متعدد الاستطبابات موجودة منذ عام 2001، لكنها المرة الأولى التي تجرى فيها تجارب كبيرة لإثبات فعاليته.

لكن أهمية هذا الكشف قد تختلف بحسب الدولة، ففي المملكة المتحدة وغيرها من الدول الغنية، يُتاح للأطباء الوقت الكافي لتحديد احتياجات المرضى، وتقييم وضعهم الصحي إلى جانب مجموعة واسعة من الأدوية المختلفة، مثل الستاتين، للاختيار من بينها.
ويقول البروفيسور مارشال “ستعتبر المزايا أقل أهمية في المملكة المتحدة، ويتوجب على الأرجح إجراء تجارب سريرية لمعرفة فوائد الدواء مقارنة بما يتم تقديمه للمرضى في الوقت الحالي”.
كما أن الدواء غير مرخص في المملكة المتحدة، وسيكون حصوله على مثل هذا الترخيص صعباً في ضوء القوانين المعتمدة فيها.
وتقول مؤسسة القلب البريطانية إن ثلث البريطانيين الذين يعانون من ارتفاع ضغط الدم، لا يعلمون بإصابتهم.
وهذا يعني حسب المؤسسة “أن الأولية الكبرى في المملكة المتحدة هي كشف أعداد الناس الذين لا يدركون أنهم يعانون من ارتفاع الكوليسترول في الدم أو ارتفاع ضغط الدم، ومساعدة الأشخاص الذين لديهم وصفات طبية بالأدوية المطلوبة على أخذها على النحو الصحيح”.
