The overnight winter parking ban will be enforced in non-central parts of HRM.

The city said the ban will be enforced in Zone 2 of the municipality from 1 to 6 a.m. to allow crews to properly clear the streets and sidewalks.

According to HRM, Zone 2 is a designated area outside the Halifax peninsula and downtown Dartmouth within Highway 111 and some surrounding areas.

The city said residents are able to determine which zone they’re in by searching their address using the interactive tool available on HRM’s website.

The overnight winter parking ban is not currently in effect for central HRM.
