Environment Canada expects strong winds to kick in late Wednesday. Maximum southerly gusts could reach 90 km/h, and possibly higher along exposed areas of the Atlantic coast. Meteorologists say that means loose objects, including outdoor Christmas decorations, could cause damage. “High winds may result in power outages and fallen tree branches,” the wind warning said. “Motorists, especially in high profile vehicles, may expect hazardous driving conditions on highways subject to strong cross winds.” As of 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, rainfall warnings are in effect along the South Shore, but have not yet extended into the Halifax area. However, we can expect to get an intense rainfall in a fairly short period of time, which means the possibility of water pooling on roads. Winds are expected to switch to a westerly direction and start subsiding Thursday afternoon. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Outbound lanes of Highway 101 closed in Sackville area (update: reopened) next post Nova Scotia studying creation of enforcement unit for tenant-landlord disputes You may also like 2026 Saint John woman wins battle with Immigration over... 30 أبريل، 2026 Bank of Canada holds key interest rate at... 30 أبريل، 2026 South Korea’s Hanwha sweetens the pot at deadline... 30 أبريل، 2026 Les Na-Cho Nyäk Dun exigent leur consentement avant... 30 أبريل، 2026 Aéroport Billy Bishop : rallonger la piste de... 30 أبريل، 2026 L’art de la poésie : conseils et pistes pour... 30 أبريل، 2026 Advisory issued with heavy rain in the forecast... 30 أبريل، 2026
