A special weather statement has been issued for Halifax, calling for a rainy and windy Saturday across much of Nova Scotia. 

Environment Canada says a system will move past the province through the day on Saturday bringing heavy rain at times and strong wind.

The strongest wind gusts are expected Saturday afternoon into the evening, and along the Atlantic coast.

The national forecaster said there is still some uncertainty as to the track of the storm, and more details would come as that firmed up.
