In honour of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral service, the federal government has declared a federal holiday and a national day of mourning on Monday, September 19.

In addition, it’s a provincial holiday, where government offices, public schools and regulated child care will be closed, but other businesses will be able to choose whether or not to remain open.

Here’s a look at what to expect.

Mount Saint Vincent University will be closed for normal operations and classes will not be held.

NSCAD will treat Monday as a holiday and faculty and staff will not be expected to report to work. Access to campus will be the same as weekends and other holidays, which means studios will be accessible for anyone wishing to use them.
