RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment thanks the public for their help in locating a child who was lost on Saturday in a municipality north of Halifax.
Police say that at around 10:27 a.m., they responded to a report of a young child wandering on Sackville Drive in Lower Sackville.
Witnesses reported to police that the child only had one shoe on. At the time, they were last seen at 10:23 a.m. leaving the Sobeys, walking towards Downsview Drive.
Police say the child was located sometime Saturday evening.
“The RCMP thanks Nova Scotians for assisting with this incident through social media shares and offering tips,” wrote the RCMP on social media.
