Voting now open for N.S. government’s Healthcare Improvement Challenge

The provincial government wants Nova Scotians to express what they think needs to be upgraded in the health care system.

That’s why it has opened up a new survey to public voting.

Launched in October, the Healthcare Improvement Challenge has received over 2,200 ideas from healthcare providers and others linked to the system in Nova Scotia.

From that compilation, the ideas have been narrowed to a shortlist of 20 to be voted on by the public.

After votes are collected, the top ten ideas will be given priority and government will work with health system partners to implement them.

In a release, Premier Tim Houston said “there are many common-sense, low cost and easy to implement improvements” within the submissions.

Nova Scotians can vote for their three favourite ideas from the list available on the province’s website.

Voting runs until end of day January 8th with results announced by the end of that month.
