Vandal does $100,000 damage to vehicles in Dartmouth lot

Police are searching for a suspect after 30 vehicles were damaged at a Dartmouth car dealership. On Tuesday, police were called to a lot in the 600 block of Portland Street after a report of vandalism. Police believe that the damage was done around 9:15 p.m. on Canada Day.

Estimates peg the damage to the vehicles at more than $100,000.

The suspect is described as wearing dark-coloured pants, a white, long sleeve shirt, and a dark-coloured brimmed hat with their face covered at the time.

Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or video from the area is asked to call Halifax Regional Police. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers by calling toll-free 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submitting a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca or using the P3 Tips App.
