Two HRM beaches reopen to swimmers as water quality improves

by admin

CITYnews halifax / By Dan Ahlstrand

HRM announced Friday morning that two popular swimming areas that were closed to swimming have been reopened.

Municipal officials say that the water quality at Penhorn Beach in Dartmouth and Oakfield Park Beach in Oakfield has improved enough to allow swimmers to enjoy the water again.

A few beaches are still closed to swimmers due to water quality concerns, including Albro Lake Beach, Kidston Beach and Sandy Lake Beach.

A complete list of supervised swimming areas is available on HRM’s website.
