Two drivers are being accused of going 127 km/h in a 50 km/h zone of Joseph Howe Drive Monday morning.

Halifax Regional Police say a 24-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were pulled over at around 9:45 a.m.

Both were charged with stunting, which is automatic for anyone driving more than 50 km/h over the speed limit.

It comes with a $2,422.50 fine and six points are assigned to the driver’s record.

In addition, their licences were suspended for a week and the vehicles were impounded.
