Halifax Regional Police say at around 1:30 p.m., two people with a firearm demanded a man’s property as his was sitting in a vehicle. It happened on Windmill Road near Wright Avenue. The victim wasn’t hurt and the suspect took off in a vehicle. Officers say they found the suspect’s vehicle on Courtney Road. The road was closed, the area was cordoned off and police asked the public to stay away as they investigated. Nearby Harbour View Elementary was placed on a hold and secure. Police have now taken a man and a woman — who were found inside a residence — into custody. The scene has now been cleared, the road is reopened and students have been dismissed for the day.
