Trudeau in Halifax to meet N.S. premier

The prime minister is scheduled to be in Nova Scotia on Monday.

Justin Trudeau is expected to meet with Premier Tim Houston in Halifax, with federal minister Sean Fraser also scheduled to join the meeting.

Trudeau’s itinerary says he will also be delivering remarks and taking part in a “fireside chat” at the Halifax Chamber of Commerce.

Monday’s meeting would be the first since Tim Houston’s resounding re-election in November, after a campaign Houston ran in part on the idea of putting together a strong team to stand up to Ottawa.
