Transport driver taken to hospital after truck overturns in Dartmouth

A transport truck driver had to be taken to hospital on Monday morning after the vehicle they were driving overturned in Dartmouth.

Halifax Regional Police said the crash happened at about 9:30 a.m. on Akerley Blvd. near Wilkinson Ave. Police said the driver’s injuries were considered non-life-threatening.

The crash caused significant traffic delays in the area during the commute.

As of 11 a.m., HRP said there would be no access inbound to Akerley from the 107 or 118 for “an extended period of time”.
