The provincial regulator is handing Nova Scotians a bit of break on fuel prices to end the year.

In its weekly adjustment, the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board dropped the price for self-serve regular gasoline to 152.7 cents per litre, down 1.5 cents.

Diesel prices also lowered overnight going down 2.2 cents to 186.3 cents per litre.

This time last year, Nova Scotians were paying 1.42 for gas, and 1.98 for diesel.
