Halifax Regional Police said a youth was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries at about 11:45 a.m. after being stabbed in the 300 block of Lacewood Dr. The incident caused Halifax West High School to go into a hold and secure for about 30 minutes over the noon hour on Monday. In an update, HRP said the suspect turned themselves into police at about 3:30 p.m. on Monday after initially fleeing the scene of the alleged stabbing.
