According to officials, the accused was arrested at his home at 3 a.m. on Wednesday in connection with threats against Citadel High School and weapons were seized. The teen, who cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is expected to appear in court on Thursday for charges including possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats and unsafe storage (ammunition). “Police have a presence at Citadel High School today to support students and staff,” reads a media release from Halifax Regional Police. “Police do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the school and do not believe anyone else is involved in the incident.” Speaking to reporters on Thursday, HRP Chief Don MacLean urged compassion as youths face their own struggles. “While it is natural to react to these types of events with fear, I do urge people to also react with compassion,” said HRP Chief Don MacLean during a Thursday news conference. “Youth who consider violence as their last resort have been faced with their own struggles. It can be difficult to understand.” Anyone with information is asked to reach out to police or Crime Stoppers. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Liberals maintain ‘commanding’ lead in Atlantic Canada polls next post You may also like Premier Tim Houston reverses some budget cuts amid... 11 مارس، 2026 Budget cuts put seniors and vulnerable Nova Scotians... 11 مارس، 2026 Police charge pair linked to several robberies in... 11 مارس، 2026 Serial killer Allan Legere, New Brunswick’s ‘Monster of... 2026 Gas prices to change as energy board invokes... 10 مارس، 2026
