A teen is facing charges after an incident on a Halifax Transit bus.

Halifax Regional Police were called to Mountain Road at around 10:45 p.m. Friday.

Officers were told three youths were arguing with a transit driver when one of them tried to get the bus to stop by grabbing the steering wheel.

The driver was able to safely pull to the side of the road, where they asked to teens to get off the bus.

Police say the teen who grabbed the wheel then threatened the driver.

The 17-year-old is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial youth court to face charges of threats, mischief and two counts of failing to obey conditions of a youth court order.
