Environment Canada issued a yellow snowfall warning that remains in effect Monday morning for central and northern Nova Scotia, along with Cape Breton, warning that the system will intensify again overnight. Winds are expected to gust to 50 km/h or more, reducing visibility in many areas. Allister Aalders, 95.7 NewsRadio meteorologist, said that, unlike last week, this system will be with us for some time, as snow should fall into Tuesday morning. “When you total what fell last night with what falls (Monday) and into early Tuesday, we anticipate a general 30 to 40 cm across HRM,” said Aalders. The winds will also be an issue with this storm, with strong gusts expected through the day. More storm stories: Schools closures and cancellations: Mon.
