According to police, at about 1:15 p.m. officers responded to a fight between two people in the 200 block of Portland Street. When officers arrived they found a man with life-threatening stab wounds and he was rushed to hospital. There’s no word on a suspect description at this time. As of 2 p.m., Portland St. was closed from Maitland to Albert streets.
