Special weather statement ends

A special weather statement warning of heavy rain has ended from Environment Canada for central and western Nova Scotia.

Heavy rain was expected, said the weather agency, with areas anticipated to receive 40 mm of rain.

Environment Canada said the time span for the rain is ending from west to east later in the afternoon and into the evening of July 3.
