«إنكم تدمرون صورة بلادكم في الخارج»، كان هذا هو الاتهام الذي وُجِّه إلى أقارب سجناء سعوديين تكلموا للإعلام عن المظالم التي لحقت بذويهم.
رغم هذه الاتهامات، تخلى تيار الأقارب عن صمتهم، وأصبحوا نشاط رغم أنفهم، وتحولوا إلى صداع جديد في رأس السلطات السعودية، حسبما ورد في تقرير لصحيفة The Washington Post الأمريكية.
تخشى انتقام السلطات منها أو من أخيها
لم تلجأ أريج السدحان إلى ما اعتبرته ملاذاً أخيراً ومؤلماً إلا بعد اختفاء شقيقها لعدة أشهر، وبعد الصمت المُربك للمسؤولين في المملكة العربية السعودية إزاء مصيره، والشائعات حول إساءة معاملته في السجن.
تحدثت علناً عن الأمر.
قرَّرت أريج إجراء مقابلات مع وسائل الإعلام الأجنبية، ونشر مناشدات عبر الإنترنت، على أمل أن يدفع ذلك الحكومة السعودية إلى الكشف عن حالة شقيقها، عبدالرحمن السدحان، وهو عامل إغاثة يبلغ من العمر 35 عاماً، اعتُقل منذ أكثر من عام.
تحذر السلطات السعودية العائلات بشدة من الظهور إلى العلن، لذلك تخشى أريج من انتقام السلطات منها أو من شقيقها. ويبدو أن قرارها قد يجلب على الأرجح سيلاً من الشتائم من المدافعين عن المملكة عبر الإنترنت.
تقول في مقابلة عبر الهاتف مع The Washington Post من كاليفورنيا حيث تعيش: «لقد جرَّبنا كلَّ شيء ممكن، شعرت أن جميع الأبواب كانت مغلقة في وجهي».
أقارب سجناء سعوديين تكلموا للإعلام بعدما فشلت المناشدات السرية
لم تكن أريج وحدها.
فخلال العام الماضي، اتَّخذ أقارب العديد من المحتجزين الآخرين لدى السعودية، مُستفزّين بالاعتقالات الطويلة، أو عدم توجيه تهم رسمية لذويهم المعتقلين، قراراً صعباً واستثنائياً بالتحدث علناً وبصراحة عن هذه الحالات، متجاهلين بذلك الفكرة القديمة المتمثلة في أن العائلة المالكة، بميلها نحو السرية، تستجيب بصورة أفضل للمناشدات السرية أكثر من الهجوم العلني.
وقال العديد من أقارب المحتجزين إنهم خرجوا إلى العلن، بعد أن باءت محاولاتهم لإيجاد باب خلفي إلى المسؤولين الحكوميين، بالفشل.
ومعاناتهم هي نتيجة للتغيرات التي يُحدثها ولي العهد الأمير محمد بن سلمان، الذي يجعل المملكة أكثر استبداداً مما كانت عليه في الماضي، وفقاً لما يقوله النقاد، حتى وهو يخفف بعض التقاليد الاجتماعية المتشددة.
التنوع في خلفيات المعتقلين يكشف اتساع حملة القمع
التنوع بين هذه الأُسَر يعكس اتساع حملة محمد بن سلمان، التي انطلقت بصرامة في سبتمبر/أيلول 2017، وأدَّت إلى اعتقال أشخاص بسبب معارضتهم أو شهرتهم، أو لأسباب ما زالت لغزاً بالنسبة لعائلاتهم والعامة.
يقول الأقارب إن عملية اتخاذ القرارات من قادة المملكة يصعب توقعها على نحوٍ متزايد، وبالتالي فإن خطر السكوت أكبر.
وقال البعض إن قتل الصحفي جمال خاشقجي على أيدي عملاء سعوديين، في أكتوبر/تشرين الأول الماضي، وهو عمل وحشي لم يكن يتصور حدوثه سابقاً بحق منتقد للحكومة، أيضاً سرّع من قراراتهم بالتحدث.
في حين يقول المسؤولون السعوديون إن العملاء خالفوا الأوامر بإعادة خاشقجي إلى السعودية على قيد الحياة، وهناك عدد منهم يخضع للمحاكمة.
البعض منهم كان بعيداً تماماً عن السياسة
وأوضح بعض أقارب المحتجزين أن عائلاتهم كانت سابقاً بعيدة كل البعد عن السياسة، وحرصت على تجنب جذب انتباه السلطات السعودية. بينما تحدَّث آخرون عن أفراد أسرتهم، هم نشطاء بارزون.
يقول المحللون إنه بالنسبة لولي العهد، كانت بعض الاعتقالات وسيلةً مفيدةً ليبعث برسائل إلى شرائح من المجتمع السعودي؛ لتثبيط نشطاء محتملين آخرين على سبيل المثال، أو لتهدئة المحافظين الدينيين الذين يشعرون بالقلق من بعض التغييرات الاجتماعية التي أيدها محمد بن سلمان.

لكن القيود القمعية أوجدت صداعاً جديداً للقيادة السعودية: مجموعة صغيرة، لكنها متنامية من الأقارب الذين يسلّطون الضوء على الاعتقالات التي تُحبِّذ الحكومة أن تظلَّ طيّ الكتمان، مقدمين صورة مُنفرة للمملكة.
لم يرد مكتب إعلامي حكومي سعودي على أسئلة حول وضع عبد الرحمن السدحان وعدة معتقلين آخرين.
وقال جميع الأقارب الذين أجرت معهم صحيفة The Washington Post مقابلات إنهم يأملون في الحفاظ على علاقتهم بالسعودية، رغم قرارهم بالخروج بقضاياهم إلى العلن.
لا انتقام ولكن فقط اتهامات
لم يبلغ أي منهم عن أي انتقام من قبل السلطات السعودية، رغم أن بعضهم مثل أريج السدحان، لم يتمكنوا من معرفة كيف يُعامل أقاربهم المحتجزون.
بعد أن بدأ أقارب لجين الهذلول، وهي ناشطة في حقوق المرأة، يتحدثون علناً هذا العام عن اعتقالها وادعاءات أنها تعرضت للتعذيب، قوبلوا بانتقادات قاسية بأنهم يدمرون صورة السعودية في الخارج.
كتبت علياء الهذلول، شقيقة لجين، على حسابها في موقع تويتر في مارس/آذار، رداً على صحفي سعودي اتهم الأسرة بنشر الأكاذيب حول إساءة معاملة لجين في السجن، أنه قبل التحدث إلى وسائل الإعلام «خاطبنا جميع السلطات المختصة، ولم نتلق أي رد».

وأضافت علياء أن التقليل من شأن مزاعم التعذيب «لا يصب في مصلحة الأمة». كانت حريصة على عدم انتقاد الحكومة، قائلة بدلاً من ذلك إن شخصاً ما في الجهات التنفيذية ربما ينتهك القانون.
ونفى المسؤولون السعوديون تعذيب أي من المعتقلين.
وها هم يتحولون إلى نشطاء غير مألوفين
وبتحدثهم علناً، دُفِع الأقارب أيضاً ليؤدوا دوراً غير مألوف كنشطاء حقوقيين. فعلياء أم عاملة تعيش في بروكسل، لديها وظيفة يومية في شركة طاقة. وأريج السدحان تعمل في شركة تكنولوجيا.
قالت: «لم أكن ناشطة أبداً». منذ عقد مضى، قبل مغادرتها السعودية والانتقال إلى الولايات المتحدة، كانت داعمة لمنح النساء حق قيادة السيارات.
لكن في كاليفورنيا «توقفت عن متابعة السياسة السعودية، ركزت على الحصول على درجة الماجستير، وعلى حياتي. لكن الآن علي التركيز على ما تغير، وما حدث هناك»، كما تقول أريج.
وبعض المعتقلين من رجال الأعمال
كان أحمد فتيحي البالغ من العمر 26 عاماً، مشغولاً بمستقبله في مدينة جدة الساحلية، عندما اعتقلت السلطات في نوفمبر/تشرين الثاني 2017 والده وليد فتيحي، وهو مؤسس مستشفى معروف.
جاءت عملية الاعتقال أثناء احتجاز السلطات المئات من رجال الأعمال والمسؤولين الحكوميين وبعض أفراد العائلة المالكة وسجنهم في فندق ريتز كارلتون في العاصمة السعودية الرياض.
وقال أحمد، الذي يحمل مثل والده الجنسيتين السعودية والأميركية: «حاولنا مناشدة الحكومة، جربنا كل الوسطاء». مضيفاً «فعلنا كل شيء سراً حتى لا نثير ضجة». وتابع أن المحامين لم يتمكنوا من زيارة والده، ولم توجه إليه أي تهم. لكن بعد أن تلقى أحمد تقارير أوائل العام الماضي عن تعرض والده للتعذيب، قال: «لم يكن لدي خيار».
وافق في النهاية على إجراء مقابلات مع وسائل الإعلام، واتصل بأعضاء في الكونغرس، وقدم شهادة هناك. وقال إن الأصدقاء والأقارب السعوديون «أخبروني ألا أفعل ذلك، كانوا جميعاً خائفين».
وأضاف: «لم أطلب إذناً، لم أشعر بالمتعة لفعلي هذا، كل ما أرجوه أن يُطلق سراح والدي، ويلتم شمل أسرتي من جديد».
تتحدث العائلات دون أي ضمان أن الخروج إلى العلن سيكون استراتيجية فعالة. لكن على الأقل، يبدو أن تكتيكاتهم زادت من الضغط على القيادة السعودية.
قالت إدارة ترامب إنها أثارت مراراً قضية سجن وليد فتيحي مع الحكومة السعودية. وضغط المشرعون الأمريكيون، الذين تأثروا بشهادة الأقارب، على البيت الأبيض لمناصرة نشطاء حقوق المرأة وغيرهم من المعارضين المسجونين.

عندما طرحت ملاك الشهري قضيتها على الملأ، كانت معتادة على الأضواء. الشهري، التي كانت ناشطة في الحركة النسوية السعودية، اُعتقلت عام 2016، بعد أن غردت صورة لنفسها تقف في أحد شوارع الرياض دون العباءة التقليدية في المملكة، وقد عارضت بفعلها هذا القواعد الأخلاقية السعودية، التي كانت مطبقة بصرامة آنذاك.
لم يكن زوجها أيمن الدريس، الذي التقته بعد إطلاق سراحها من السجن، ناشطاً معروفاً. كان لغوياً يهوى الترجمة ولديه وظيفة يومية في مجال التأمين.
قالت ملاك إنه كان ينشر مقاطع فيديو على قناته بموقع يوتيوب، لكنه أبقى رأسه محنياً حتى لا ينكشف وجهه. مضيفة: «لم يكن يريد التورط في مشكلات».
اُعتقل أيمن هذا الشهر مع ما يقل عن عشرة أشخاص آخرين، لأسباب لم تعلن عنها السلطات.
بعد القبض عليه، سارعت ملاك إلى نشر قضية زوجها على تويتر، مظهرة رد فعلها كناشطة. لكنها كانت تشعر بالقلق بشأن قرارها مترددة بين نصائح متعارضة. بعض الناس يرون أن التحدث على الملأ سيزيد فقد الوضع سوءاً. لكن العائلات التي حافظت على هدوئها لم تكن أكثر حظاً في إطلاق سراح أقاربهم.
قالت: «ليس هناك شيء جيد في السكوت»، مضيفة: «لا نعرف حقاً ماذا نفعل. نريد المساعدة. إننا في حيرة».
