CITYnews halifax / By Dan Ahlstrand

A wet and humid day expected in Halifax Regional Municipality on Thursday.

Environment Canada forecasters said rain that began on Thursday morning would carry on throughout the day, and there was a chance of a passing thunderstorm. The weather agency said 10-15 mm of rain is expected, but some areas could see as much as 25 mm and winds gusting to 50 km/h.

The temperature was expected to hit 21 degrees, but with the humidity factored in, that could feel more like 28.

The rain was expected to taper to showers through the evening, and the wind was expected to calm before midnight.

Friday is forecasted to begin with a mix of sun and cloudy, with clearing in the afternoon and a high of 21.
