The RCMP is continuing its search for 29-year-old Valdo Pauyo.
Pauyo is accused of killing 42-year-old Douglas “Bert” Knockwood at his residence of Millbrook First Nation on July 12, 2021.
Commonly known as “C.J.”, Pauyo fled Nova Scotia immediately following the murder.
The RCMP continue to work with other policing agencies and partners in the search for Pauyo who lived in Montreal, Quebec before coming to Nova Scotia.
Information was received that Pauyo changed his appearance after leaving Nova Scotia in 2021.
RCMP say Pauyo may have removed his dreadlocks and cut his hair shorter.
The last description of Pauyo is that he would be between 5-foot-7-inches and 5-foot-9-inches, weight 210 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone who sees Valdo Pauyo is asked to refrain from approaching him and to call police.
