This after recent reports of phone scams in the province. Mounties say in one of them, the scammer claims to be from your bank and tells you someone has made fraudulent charges on your account. Some victims were convinced to go to various stores to buy pre-paid gift cards. “Scammers can be very persistent and convincing,” police say in a news release. “Being defrauded is never the victim’s fault.” “If you have been defrauded, you are not alone. Please report it to your local police.” Scams can also be reported to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501 or online. 5 comments 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Nova Scotia sees 40% drop in legal marijuana prices since 2019 next post كندا تتلقّى جرعات لقاح فايزر للأطفال بين 5 و 11 عاما You may also like RCI: Projet de loi sur l’eau potable : l’APN... 18 يونيو، 2026 RCI: Des pétroliers traversent le détroit d’Ormuz après... 18 يونيو، 2026 RCI : Federal Court challenge says Canada failing... 18 يونيو، 2026 RCI: New law to strip Canada’s military of... 18 يونيو، 2026 RCI: Trump wants CUSMA to expire ’immediately.’ Here’s... 18 يونيو، 2026 RCI: Tankers cross Strait of Hormuz after Iran... 18 يونيو، 2026 راديو كندا الدولي: كندا مستعدة للمساعدة في تنفيذ... 18 يونيو، 2026 CITYnews halifax : Nova Scotia hacker convicted of... 18 يونيو، 2026 CITYnews halifax : Mayor of Lunenburg, N.S., banned... 18 يونيو، 2026 RCI : « Change ta vision » :... 18 يونيو، 2026 Leave a Comment Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
