RCMP charged 23 people with impaired driving in the Halifax area last month.

Mounties say in January, 15 drivers were charged with impaired operation of a conveyance by alcohol, eight for refusal of a demand and another 22 drivers were issued driving suspensions for operating a conveyance while having consumed alcohol.

They also wrote over 350 tickets for the following:

• 127 for speeding
• 3 for stunting
• 56 for other aggressive driving
• 14 for distracted driving
• 41 for unlicensed/suspended or revoked driving
• 116 for other Motor Vehicle Act offences

Anyone who spots a dangerous driver is asked to report it to police when it’s safe to do so.

Try to include the location of the vehicle, a description of the driver and vehicle (including license plate number, colour, make and model) as well as the vehicle’s direction of travel.
