In a release, the Nova Scotia Government said the company can resume production if it chooses to do so. The province said Kameron Coal Management Ltd. has met the phase 1 safety requirements from its most recent compliance order. “The Department is satisfied that Kameron Coal has met the conditions outlined in the compliance order,” said Scott Nauss, the Department’s Senior Executive Director of Safety. “We will continue with strong oversight of this complex worksite to help ensure the company is doing the right things to keep workers safe.” According to the province, phase 2 requires the company to hire an independent third-party engineer to review the mine’s ground control plan before March. This all comes after the province shut down the mine in July after a rockfall. Kameron Coal had since laid off its 130-member workforce. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Police charge 14-year-old youth after vehicle crash next post You may also like Premier Tim Houston reverses some budget cuts amid... 11 مارس، 2026 Budget cuts put seniors and vulnerable Nova Scotians... 11 مارس، 2026 Police charge pair linked to several robberies in... 11 مارس، 2026 Serial killer Allan Legere, New Brunswick’s ‘Monster of... 2026 Gas prices to change as energy board invokes... 10 مارس، 2026
