It will be investing $8 million for the temporary units, which will be built in areas where there is an acute demand. Housing Trust of Nova Scotia will identify the best locations and use its current processes to get the units delivered as quickly as possible. Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, John Lohr said lack of housing can make it challenging for some communities to recruit and retain health care workers. “The modular housing model has been successful in other jurisdictions,” he stated in a news release. “This investment will help support our health care workers with transitional housing until more permanent solutions are available.” Earlier this month, the province announced that 65 continuing care assistants would be moving to the province after receiving conditional job offers during a recent recruiting trip to a Kenyan refugee camp. Opposition parties called on the government to ensure they would have housing when they start arriving later this year. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Accidental 911 call leads to seizure of several weapons next post Medals for North American Indigenous Games showcase Mi’kmaq culture You may also like راديو كندا الدولي: كندا مستعدة للمساعدة في تنفيذ... 18 يونيو، 2026 CITYnews halifax : Nova Scotia hacker convicted of... 18 يونيو، 2026 CITYnews halifax : Mayor of Lunenburg, N.S., banned... 18 يونيو، 2026 RCI : « Change ta vision » :... 18 يونيو، 2026 RCI: Trump et Pezeshkian ont signé le protocole... 18 يونيو، 2026 RCI : Un agent de la GRC arrêté... 18 يونيو، 2026 RCI: Trois leaders du milieu sportif autochtone sur... 18 يونيو، 2026 RCI : HEC Montréal, partenaire de l’autodétermination 18 يونيو، 2026 RCI : Les familles établies au Québec seront... 18 يونيو، 2026 RCI : Canada’s population drops in first quarter... 18 يونيو، 2026
