Regional police are warning residents of a suspicious man who approached a group of youths Wednesday afternoon in Halifax.

Police said four teenage girls were on Herring Cove Road when they were approached by a man they did not know.

The man went on to compliment the girls on their appearance and offered them gifts and money to get inside his vehicle.

According to HRP, the group said no, left the area and reported the incident to a trusted adult who then reported it to police.

The man is described as roughly 30-years old, about 5’8″, slender build, and dark facial hair.

His vehicle is described as a white Lincoln SUV with tinted windows.

Anyone with information is asked to contact HRP or Crime Stoppers.
