Police searching for man accused of sexually assault a youth at Walmart

The search is on for a man police accuse of sexually assaulting a female youth at the Bayers Lake Walmart last week.

Halifax police said the alleged assault happened on Saturday, June 10 around 4:30 p.m. at the department store on Chain Lake Dr. The suspect, according to police, touched the youth in a sexual manner and then took off.

The suspect is described by police as a white man in his 30s to 40s. He’s about 6′ tall with medium build, a scruffy beard and was wearing a ball cap, dark pants and a gray t-shirt or hoodie.

“We are not releasing further details out of respect and concern for the victim’s privacy and well-being,” police said in a release.
