Police search for suspect in Hatchet Lake pharmacy robbery

Police are looking for a man involved in an armed robbery that took place at a pharmacy in Hatchet Lake.

On Monday evening, Halifax RCMP responded to a report of an armed robbery at a pharmacy on Prospect Road where a man entered, took a safe injection kit before brandishing a handgun and demanding narcotics.

Police say he fled the scene on foot with roughly more than 2,100 narcotic tablets. The pharmacy’s employees were not physically injured.

The suspect is described as white and 5’10. He was dressed in black with grey shoes and had a bandana over his face.

The investigation is ongoing and being led by the RCMP/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.
