Police search for suspect after convenience store robbed

Halifax Regional Police are searching for a suspect after a convenience store was robbed Wednesday morning.

Police were called to the Needs on Chebucto and Windsor at around 8:20 a.m.

Officers were told a man threatened an employee before walking out with cash, cigarettes and lottery tickets.

The suspect is described at 6 feet tall. He was wearing all black clothing, a light grey cloth face covering and was carrying two black backpacks.

Anyone with information or video from the area is asked to call 902-490-5020 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
